I started it today.

It's phenomenal. I hope we get updated 1/6 figures. I noticed the Iconiqs stock is completely inaccurate in both color and design.

I hope this does well enough we get more characters.

I think Iconiq's was based on Dead by Daylight (The Executioner) but with shorter coat.
And yes, I think Red Pyramid from SH2R will get his figure soon. The design was a bit different from any figurines/ statues we got so far.

I hope so, I do want two Pyramid heads in a display.

Just entered the Apartment Otherworld and 😵 😱 good game so far tho! Definitely taking my time exploring every nook and cranny.

As a long-time Silent Hill fan since the PS1 original, it's beyond rejuvenating to see the SH2 Remake getting such high marks from critics and fans. Rare is the chance to say "we're so back" so hard on such an oft-mistreated franchise.

I can't wait. And, yes, give us more figures.

I hope this really op na doors for Silent Hill..I hope Konami realizes that's because of the quality though.

I will say SH2R has been…. 🤔 more faithful than the last resident evil remakes… 🙊 just imo. It feels so good to be back in Silent Hill. Last SH game I played was The Room back in 04. Bring on SH3R also one of my favorites.

I'm glad more people can hopefully play SH2 that never did before or that otherwise don't have access to the original, but going by the videos I've seen the voice work is too jarring for me. I don't need updates like this

I'm close to the end, and I don't think this game replaces the original for me, that still remains the "definitive" SH2 experience. But Bloober did a good job considering the "modern" direction they went in.

I really hope we get 1 and 3. If we never got anymore SH games after a 1/3 remake I would be okay with it. As long as they were at SH2s level of love and execution.

If this remake does sell well. I would like them to try and port the Team Silent game to modern hardware. If that means making more remakes, then I'm all in. I think both the new and old versions of the games should be available for the people to enjoy given how different they are.

But I'm also curious to see how Silent Hill f turns out now.

I agree 100%.

I tried the remake but it’s just not for me. I played a few hours and was already bored.

The story, atmosphere and the performances are really good but the gameplay is just not up to par at all.

The first few hours are essentially smacking the same 2 enemy types with a stick over and over again, and occasionally shooting them.

The puzzles are also super dragged out in some cases.

I get that it’s a remake and it’s trying to be faithful but I think it’s faithful to a fault. They could have taken some more liberties in spicing things up a little.

I’ll probably never return to finish it.

I was going to ask your impressions on the original…

Frankly, I’m vastly enjoying the remake combat more. Enemies are an actual challenge. I have to actually be aware of timing, dodging, surroundings, and resources, more than I ever had to in the original (which I still adore).

I agree with you.

Currently on my third playthrough and I enjoy the combat a lot. It is still simple, not to RE levels. But it doesn't need to be.

On my 2nd playthrough I just hammed my way through the combat but even just being in the town and staring at all the detail was a 10/10 experience.

I'm going to play through it 4 times for Platinum, then take a break. I adore it, just every so slightly more than RE4R.

Eh I played it when I was pretty young so I barely even remember it. So I wonder how many peoples experience is being elevated with nostalgia.

Whenever I see an enemy I don’t feel scared or even threatened by them I just sigh at the thought of hitting the same pair of legs with a stick for the millionth time.

I know it’s a good game on the narrative side of things but the tedious and monotonous gameplay loop has stopped me from experiencing that.

I may just watch it on Youtube and eat the £40 loss.
