If you are not sure he will stay up there just change them arround.
put doom on the top but I think he will be fine up there.

congratz guys on the fantastic pics of this masterpiece.
I am really enjoying mine.

i don't think you'll have to worry about the besta shelves, they seem to be pretty strong.

ps: mike, those eyes sure are bright.

I can't believe the UPS guy just left it outside the door without ringing the doorbell :horror

Yeah that doesn't surprise me. They do it to me and my neighbors all the time. Or they'll ring the doorbell and sprint to their truck and take off like a bat outta hell. :lol I mean it's not like my house looks like the Munsters or anything.

Anyways I got mine and it looks great. I'll post pictures soon. All my buddies who are not collectors absolutely love this thing. But for some reason the ladies love my Hulk PF.

How is everyone displaying him? I find myself looking up at him... and not being able to get eye to eye contact with him. Hmmmm....since this is my first bust, is it supposed to be to your eye level for display? I do feel that I'm looking at a 6"8' tall robot :)

Any recommendation is appreciated.

All right, so the paint in an interesting thing. Its definitely a darker red than the comiquette which is more of a Candy Apple red but in darker light settings it looks more burgundy. I can't wait to get my 1:1 Arc Reactor Mark 01 Chest piece to display it with.

but more on that later. ;)

guys watch this video I just uploaded to youtube showing that the bust is totaly accurate with the life suit.

there is even one part in this clip that director john favreu doubt that the helmet would fit the actor.

even pay attention to the color and how big it is compared to john favreu's head.

people keep complaning that the bust is not 1:1 but this video will proves it is.
I think they had to make the helmet very compact so the actor can get more dynamic mouvements of the head.

There is other cool stuff on this video even some great maquettes from mark1 etc..

enjoy.

Watch it in high quality.

How heavy is the bust really... can someone weigh this puppy? Also, the Mike do you think it is worth the moola?

The bust comes in officially at 37 pounds. Roughly the weight of a Hulk PF. It worth the price it costs, I can't imagine what one would look like all dinged and damaged up but for me when I took it out it actually shined a bit in the lighting of my kitchen. Its really awesome to just look it. Worth it even for non Iron Man fanboys.

Oh....by the way. The busts are not numbered but on the box it says 179.

I'll admit, in the video the suit looks like its been painted burgundy also. So if they were making it true the original prototype then the color matches. I still find it a LITTLE hard to believe a human head can fit into this thing comfortably....but I guess its possible. The fact though that some of these arrived with paint jobs ranging from one extream to another....shouldnt be excused...and in my case parts missing paint all together.
I might actually take the suggestion someone mentioned to me on here and get a professional to paint it properly....Primer, sanding, base coat, top coat and clear coat.
Cause judging from the video, they are all made like this and a replacment will be the same outcome.

Just received mine and its gorgeous! No flaws, the paint apps are perfect, not a spot that is faded or looks dusty, my fingers were crossed. The eye LEDs are amazingly bright. I love it, my favorite thing I own! Pics to come.

That is great news for Mr. Iron Man!

The video is the making of the movie props not how Sideshows manufactures the busts from the studio molds. Two separate things altogether.

Clearly SS used theirs as a starting poing.....I dont think it was a coincidence they both ended up the same shade of red.
