I never thought I'd order this mark IN THIS SCALE! but I was too tempted after seeing the blogger pics!!! And I'm soooooooo glad I did, because as a HT collector I think this may be a changing in the tide for me :cuckoo:

I think you are experiencing the same thing that happened to me when I bought my first quarter scale. So big with so much detail and presence.. My interest in 1/6 began to fizzle and now I only have 1/4 stuff displayed. I've sold most of my 1/6 collection and the stuff I have in storage will probably be up for sale soon. Be warned.. Interest in 1/4 figures can lead to 1/4 statue curiosity.. Particularly because the selection is limited when it comes to figures.

I have even started to dabble in 1/3 by securing pre-orders for Scorpion and Sub-Zero by Pop Culture Shock. I only have room for three 1/3 scale figures.. Thank God! Lol

Also I think demand for some of the other 1/4 scale stuff will increase once this figure hits the masses and collectors look to expand their new 1/4 collection. Some of the harder to find Enterbay stuff like Joker and Robocop are already expensive. I expect their prices to climb even higher in the coming month so if you can find decent prices now.. Jump on them!

I was thinking that the previous 1/4 scale stuff would increase in price now, wouldn't mind a 1/4 joker even though I have the DX11 1/6th
It's a different league in terms of detail and visual impact! I have power girl Premium format pre ordered, that I might display next to my iron man for now!

Enterbay did a great job on their 1/4 TDK Joker and Batman Begins Batman. Should look into it if you're interested. Don't think Hot Toys will ever bother going back to those. Future 1/4 figures will probably be Marvel related. Can see them pushing out a 1/4 Terminator or Predator related figure in that mix.

A 1/4 Cap and Thor to go along with this would be pretty awesome though. Would probably look really good in this scale.

If (and it's a big if) they do a human 1/4 then pretty much any other human is then on the table. Then they have the buck and tooling for most of the figure (may need to add or change pieces like arms or chest from character to character) but once they do one...it won't stop there. So if hey do Cap or Thor you can expect hawkeye and stark and others.

They are pushing BvS pretty hard and if it does well I would think those may get 1/4s as well. Especially with the JL inbound.

The quarter scale gives more detail, better likenesses, better proportion and amazing presence along with the poseability. I could see replacing all of my 1:6 scale with quarter scale...and you don't have to collect as much as the 1:6 scale.

Btw, a company called COO is making 1/4 body for quarter scale collector out there.

I am still hoping that HT would make Joker again.

I would do the same but unfortunately it's a very empty market.

I wouldn't mind having a core collection of 1/4 figures done as good as this figure but alas that's not an option. That said, just placed my order on Sideshow. Bring on the shipment. :clap

Coo made a decent 1/6 body as well. But there's very little 1/4 scale product out there to justify a blank body. Unless you are going to sculpt everything yourself, or commission it.

I am still waiting for the pre order for 1/4 body from COO...in my country there are people who takes commission for suit..for instance Bale and Tony Stark suit would not be so much difficult as it is quite a standard suite IMHO

I can't wait to have this figure on hand!!

Makes sense. I was mostly talking about heads and weapons and armor (Thor type suits ect) though. But if you have the 1/4 batman or this 1/4 mk43 you wowould have an unmasked head so that works. I'm sure the head from this figure would look great on a normal stark body. When you get it made please share some pics. I'd like to see how it turns out.

Old picture but 1:4 owns!!! I still have these in 1:6 too but have updated my shelves to 2 figures per shelf. I'm all about 1:4 and will get this MK43 too! Will also order every HT SW 1:4!!!

For sure Motuxmen I will share the pictures here, but it will take a while since the 1/4 body itself is not open for pre-order yet..I am thinking to buy at least 2 for Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne

Sounds good. And I figured it would be sometime before you got it finished, so no worries.

I think this 1/4 scale HT Iron Man Mark 43 will be an extraordinarily high quality mark. They've dominated 1/6 scale and it looks like they are set to dominate 1/4 scale too.

Yes, in the few pages behind Royce12 has some comparison pictures of HT Mark 43 and PI iron patriot and to me the difference is astonishing.

At first I thought Enterbay would dominate the 1/4 scale..but seems like they're focusing on the NBA line, HT saw the opportunity and take them over. I am still hoping HT would make 1/4 Batman (Returns and Begins)

Those are the two that I am keeping an eye out for as well. But in all honesty.. This mk43 may have just replaced the mk7 as my favorite suit. I love everything about it. And I am a big fan of the panel lines on the face plate.

My previous fav was the HT Iron Man Mark IV with Gantry. This 1/4 scale Mark 43 replaces that as my new fav.
