All I found was a 1/4 Avengers announcement thread and a Rescue Cap announcement thread but it looked like an image inside was deleted at Hot Toys request

Maybe this is the sculpt that Royce was talking about? It's in 1/4 scale and is done by the same sculptor who did HT's 1/6 Reeve headsculpt -- Arnie Kim -- though I don't recall it being an early proto for HT. AFAIK Arnie Kim clarified online (his blog or Fb page) that this is a personal project/work.

Would have been great to have this in full form. Would top even the super-expensive cinemaquette.

Yes I am very familiar with Arnie Kim's 1/4. It's just not what the HT 1/6 started out as, as you have stated.

Read elsewhere that Hot Toys was going to use it at one point. I stand corrected. I certainly wish somebody would use it for a new 1/4 Reeve figure.

Ahhh. I see now. Nope, Arnie Kim clarified that before, that it was a personal work -- perhaps any people kept asking then it was a proto for something that made him make the clarifications?

What's Arnie Kim's latest work, anyway? Anybody knows? I love his work and I don't see him being involved in any statue/figure lately. His are the best Reeve and Bruce Lee sculpts I've seen, IMO.

Yeah Arnie does this all the time as personal projects.I can't remember HT Reeve being announced as 1/4,just that Arnie is coming to HT and Reeve will be his first project.

Doesn't say which scale so that's probably the rescue figure that was made eventually.The 1/4 avengers announcement was around the same time in 2011 i saw that 1/4 Cap so we can assume HT has been working on a few prototypes allready,i know i saw one.

There'll be a mark 42 along shortly after this one goes up for preorder I recon, it's just a simple repaint after all isn't it!?!

Yeah if the Mark 43 sells well it would not be too risky to put out a 42. I hope that all of their 1/4 stuff does well so that they will ramp up production a bit and get some new stuff out.

the 1/6 has that bright red..... its just not good
