I never thought a 1/3 Hulk would be made but ECC's doing it. You never know.

That's a resin statue though. Whole different ball game. You can buy 1:1 scale statues of anything. So any scale statue is no surprise or big deal. But a hot toys level figure in 1/4 scale of hulk...that kinda stuff never happens for mass market. That's more then they generally make for films. I don't think it's ever been done. Now manufacturing is advancing pretty fast these days. And figure production has advanced further in the last ten years then I expected..I figured to get to where hot toys is now would have taken another ten years. And hot toys is the top of the line for mass production figure quality. And it's not even close. So they could do it. I think. The problem is this isn't iron man or batman where you can break each limb down into little sections. Each limb on hulk is a single unit. On the 1/6. That makes scaling it up insanely hard. If you've never been around the production side of "toys" or figures I think it's going to be hard to understand how different that would be. It's like trying to make a car body in one piece, including the doors and hood and windows instead of fenders and hood and qrter panels all seperate pieces.

I'd love to see it done. Just can't see a way to have it done where it's priced anywhere close to something you could mass market.

If it is the only 1:4 IM, or one of only a very small list, I'm suprised they chose this model... Possibly for fan service maybe the MkIII would have been a better choice, skip the new III diecast, and just keep this one 1:6 along with the rest of the sixth scale lineup..

I myself love the look, and love the suit. It's my favourite suit in some time. In saying all this, if you were doing one single Star Wars piece, Darth Vader would be more iconic (though Boba Fett is more interesting).... all IMO..

They could be testing the market. If the Mark 43 sell well, imagine how much money a 1/4 scale Mark III or VI could make. I'm actually thinking about cancelling my 1/6 scale Mark III because I have a feeling they will release a 1/4 scale of it.

In fact, I'd trade all my 1/6 figures for a 1/4 scale version of it.

Trade plus 100% more in cash. :wink1:

1/4 scale is a seperate license. They may not have access to the 1/4 scale rights for the other armors. PI has the im3 usa license for 1/4. I'm not sure off the top of my head about the others. But it may be the case they wanted to see how this sells before they invest in new licenses, if they are even available.

If this comes out HALF as nice as the 1/4 Bats this is going to be a definitive release- I may forgo several AoU figures just to get this!

I know mate. Pictures of this are droolworthy. I imagine having this in hand, I could probably pass on everything 1/6 Iron Man (barring Phase I remakes).

edit: Just saw the price on the 1/6 Mark XLV. Now this seems like a hell of a deal. :lol

Yes. If you have any other 1/4 scale figures you know what you are getting. Plus, the design's intricate detail will turn out really well in 1/4 scale.

Seeing the MK45 today really highlights how epic a piece this is, proportions, paint, sculpt, just faultless! :clap

Makes sense... :)

Yeah I mean 1/4 scale is great but I wouldn't want my entire collection that scale. It's neat to have a few major characters (batman, terminator, Vader, Fett), but I wouldn't want to make all the 1/6th scales I have 1/4. Obviously due to space, money and the 1/6th still hold their own.
