When you buy a replica of something that is made of metal (toy or not) and that aspect of the the original is carried over it provides a tangible since of satisfaction for a lot of collectors. We are buying miniaturized metal suits of armor and we nitpick every detail that is not faithful to the original. Having the material reflect that accuracy is nice and certainly can be viewed as a selling point. What monetary value this holds may be up for dispute but it adds a satisfaction value for sure. When you pick up a metal iron man figure it feels right.. Same as when you buy a Hot Toys Wolverine figure and the claws are metal instead of plastic.. Same as when you buy a replica Captain America shield and when it arrives you feel the heft and density of the metal.. Same as how buying a real metal sword is more satisfying than the same sword but made of plastic.

You nailed it. Hence my continued frustration with replica light sabers.

Die cast or bust for me

Think we still have some time on this one, but good too see its not delayed! January or later would suite me fine. Then please wait year before releasing an EX Mk42 variant, because I'm stupid and want both :thud:

All those new release figures in the pic will be out by end of year..hope Mk 43 is the first!

i think mark 43 would be the last IMO, they would wanna capitalise on the Star Wars craze which due in a matter of few more weeks

Is there a Sideshow exclusive for this version?

No, doesn't appear to be one.

This looks pretty brilliant...

I've been saving up my points for something big, and I think this is the perfect figure on which to spend them all...after Spook, that is! :woo
I have about $250 worth of RP saved up myself. I think I'm going to spend it on this and then sell my 1/6 Mark 43. This figure is just looking too good.

Curious, if you guys would have to choose only one between the Mark 43 and the Mark 45, which would you go with?

That's easy for me, the 43 is brilliant and I actively dislike the 45. If they are going that "bleeding edge" direction with the armors from here on out, my collection will end at Hulkbuster. When I see the 43 and 45 figures of various brands together, it looks like Iron Man and Iron Man's knock off anime friend to me. Not a fan.
