I couldn't swing a collection of these, but I might make room for one really nice armor in 1/4, maybe the Mark VI or VII.

I meant that I like how the Mk 43 kind of looks like the bleeding edge armor (the one I posted a picture of). Not that I was hoping HT was going to release that one. Sorry for the confusion

Cool, thanks for clearing that up. It is a nice looking armour though, I think Kotobukiya made a 1:6 scale figure of it didn't they? At least I'm pretty sure it's similar to that picture you posted.

The 1/6 has some damaged areas but not sure it has replaceable pieces.

This thing looks incredible. The benefits of 1:4 scale are on full display here; figure looks drastically better than the 1:6 scale version., and obviously all of the folding panels are a great bonus.

That said, like others here - I'm not about to start collecting $500 toddler-sized figures. The money and space required for a single figure is just too much.

ARRRGGGGHHHH.. I am slowly being pulled into the world of 1/4 collecting. I bought Neca's 1/4 Masterchief and was in awe of it's size. Then I bought Hot Toys Jake Sully figure from Avatar. Even thought it's 1/6 scale the actual size is in line with most 1/4 figures. Again.. amazed by the size and detail. When I look at my other 1/6 figures they look small to me now. I planned on collecting the full Avengers team but now I'm considering just collecting highly detailed 1/4 scale figures as they become available.. such as this one. This figure looks amazing!

I'd always go bigger if I could, I have a lack of space issue though so it prevents me buying what I'd like..., I do have some 1:4 scale items though & may stretch to adding another BUT I'm waiting to see how much Hulkbuster is going to cost first as that will be my priority purchase over this, it's unique & I'll have the 1:6 scale version of the mark 43 so can live without a bigger figure.

My god, this is freakin amazing! I think I will quit my idea to start buying Star Wars figures and I'll use my money for this bad boy. I never tough to consider 1/4 figures, but this one is awesome.

I do not have the money or space for 1/4 figures. If they did at least Caps and Thor in 1/4 maybe I would consider it, but I don't want IM Mk43 as a stand alone piece. I would rather have the MK 3,4, or 6 as 1/4. Plus, I have to save up for Hulk Buster.

Really, I have lots of 1/6 figures but no 1/4 ones...... I must buy at least 1 in 2015, I am also just now getting into 1/4 statues

I've been thinking of selling most of my 1/6 figures lately to focus on prop replicas, PFS, and 1/4 figures. I guess that's why I wasn't much excited about all the noise Toy Soul is making til I saw this proto. So far I have 4 high-end quarter scales (EB and HT Bale Batmen, EB BD T800 and HT T800 Endo), they're too amazing... comparisons of any kind won't be fair for their 1/6 counterparts, IMO.

EDIT: I just realized that I have already sold my DX13, DX12, and 1/6 Endo, and I'm not missing them one bit I have not remembered selling them til now

Yeah.. just last night I was looking at my 1/6 figures and working out in my mind how I could sell them and rearrange my display for 1/4!! lol.. smh
I need Hot Toys to give my a 1/4 Thor and Ultron. That would push me all the way into the 1/4 zone. And maybe with the new Terminator movie we will get a new 1/4 endoskeleton.

I hope this isn't diecast. It would be way too heavy and expensive.
