Similar thoughts as to what has been said previous,
As a small collector, the idea of 1/4 interests me, so instead of constantly thinking which is the best iteration to have of a certain character, you simply don't have that choice.
Yeah you might miss out on some figures,
But daymn, that Mark 43 looks incredible.

just imagine if HT decided to release every figure in both 1/6 and 1/4

Yeah but you are not getting a diecast figure from Hot Toys. You are getting a plastic figure with some diecast bits. I don't see how you can call a mostly plastic figure diecast.

I don't, Hot Toys do..., if it wasn't what they said though then I'm sure they'd leave themselves open to prosecution wouldn't they? False advertising or some such nonsense??? I like the 3 diecast series Iron Man figures they've made to date & I'm looking forward to getting the next 2..., they are nicer than the all plastic figures I think so I'm happy enough. I'm happy with my plastic figures too of course, I'll collect them all regardless of materials..., just the diecast thing gives the figures a more authentic feel/look which I appreciate.

Not everything is fully revealed. 99% chance it'll come with a sculpt. Just wait for the official announcement.

I started collecting 1/6 figures this summer, after buying some 1/10 Kotobukiya figures, so I'm not leaving 1/6. My goal is to have all the New52 Justice League and Avengers in 1/10 format, my favorite Dc and Marvel characters in 1/6 (Batman, Iron Man, Wolverine, The Joker, Catwoman, Spiderman) and now this figure totally makes me want my two favorite characters at all in 1/4 (Batman and Iron Man). I am a comics reader, so I focus my collection in comics heroes/villains.

Hey all, just wanted to share a lil pic, that kinda shows how the addition of articulation ultimately kinda threw off the 1/6 Mark 42's proportions..



I guess this is why Sideshow's Iron Man PFs have better proportions than HT's figures.

I guess this is why Sideshow's Iron Man PFs have better proportions than HT's figures.

this would have been a reasonable explanation if it werent for the 1/4 being so close to perfect... and dont give me the size allows more BS, theyre perfectly capable

Yeah id like to hear more form him, saying he doesnt like it is fine, but calling it inaccurate? Maybe he doesnt study the 3d models like I do and scrutinize every detail but this is miles ahead of the 42 chassis HT is using for the 1/6 43

I watched the video 3 times trying to see if maybe I missed something. He says that the proportions are wrong but it looks on point to me.

The 1/4 scale is pretty damn perfect when it comes to proportions. However, I wouldn't disagree if someone said the arms might be too long.

He does clearly say that it may be because he's used to collecting the 1:6 scale figures though & as the 2 look very different proportion wise, that's clearly why he's thinking it doesn't look right. I thought the same thing yesterday when I first saw this BUT someone sent me a few pictures of the movie Iron Man mark 42 & comparisoned it up against this, I then finally saw the light. lol
