its the same as it always was. they are separate pieces that lay differently depending on how his neck is turned:

The construction of the neck is the same, I don't think anyone's doubting that.

Just that the TDKR version is 'thicker' or more padded/reinforced that the TDK one.

Yeah that was my impression. Would be cool if they're trying to do a definitive TDK/TDKR Batman but with the sheer amount of stuff he'd have to come with, I doubt it.

Plus they could always do a TDK Batman 2.0 if they wanted and be sure it will sell out :lol, and leave this one to be TDKR Batman 1.0 :lol

I don't know, it really doesn't seem like that much stuff to me. If he doesn't come with an elaborate dio like The Joker, what would he include? 14 hands, two necks, an unmasked head, a few faceplates, some batarangs, a grappling gun, a tablet, an EMP gun, a sticky bomb gun, a backpack, and possibly a broken mask? I can't say that I see them doing sonar Bats again, and, for a DX, that doesn't seem like a massive amount to me.

From Facebook:

The feedback on The Joker 2.0 that we just launched is incredible! Thanks fans for the likes!

We are not only announcing The Joker from The Dark Knight movie, but also proud to unveil our brand-new 1/6th scale Batman Collectible Figure from the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises movie which will only be presented by Hot Toys!

Batman fans, please stay tuned tight for unexpected surprise!

TDKR bats should be built like TDKR suit. :lol

What? Did I do something wrong? Is it because I said that he could possibly come with an extra feature that would make it more...Ooooohh, I shall never utter those words upon this forum (accurate). Christ, you folks are petty.:cuckoo:

I hope it doesn't have a neck.

I hope someone invents a time machine, goes back to when the first Batman comic was written and rips it up so that Nolan never made these films because then we wouldn't have to endure people picking apart an action figure in the most pathetic, smallest detail. TWO NECKS?! really???

Or you could just kill Nolan in like 1990 or something? :lol

Its fine to have an opinion but its not ok to continue to use such words.

You've said your piece, now move along.

Could you do it after Memento? I enjoyed that movie...

If he's killed before Memento, he'll never make Memento. If he never makes Memento, you'll never see Memento. If you never see Memento you'll never enjoy Memento.

You're right.

ANYWAY

I agree that if there was a massive change then yes, HT should obviously make those alterations on a new figure coming out. However, this whole neck business seems so hyped up and over the top it's ridiculous.

When the film comes out, we will see if he simply continues to wear the same suit or alternatively there is a scene where he alters it prefaced by Bale looking at the camera saying "Bout to make the neck thicker on my suit, HT - best take note"

The suit he is wearing in the DKR is probably a whole new suit built by the prop/costume team on the film - it could possibly have a thicker neck purely by accident. However, that dosen't transfer very well to 1/6th scale - HT would simply alter the neck by about a millimetre? People seem to forget how scaled down these figures are.

I make a tiny suggestion and you go off like a petty little child. Two necks? What is the big deal about me making that suggestion? The DX02 had two necks. :dunno You people are so petty that it's ridiculous. I never nitpicked anything about the figure, I simply made a suggestion. Can't you just knock off the bull____?

Yes, but an designer looked HT right in the face and said there is minor changes to the suit, including the neck and gloves.

If you wan't to drop 275$ on an inaccurate figure. Be my guest. I'm not even sure why you are so worked up about this?

Actually the interview didn't involve HT but yes, point remains :lecture

I'll defend Jokes and Bats here even though I think everyone in this thread is being ridiculous.

There needs to be a voice of reason and I will be that voice. :yess:

"There’s very few changes. The only modifications are to do with the story. But I can’t tell you what they are…"

- Lindy Hemming

No costume changes. The modifications are within the story, not the actual costume. The suit is the same suit from 2007 with negligible differences (like the little minor finds of . . . OH MY GOD TUCKED AND UNTUCKED GLOVES and, DAT NECK).

The same suit. The same suit. The same suit.

TDK suit = TDKR

As for Hot Toys I doubt they're even concerned with the above. I'm sure they've seen pictures, set pics and footage of Batman in TDKR and thought "OOO, AHHH, SAME SUIT, WE JUST MAKE LAST ONE BETTER".

That's exactly what I'd do, that's exactly what Mattel and Hasbro would do. That's what Enterbay, Medicom and all other action figure companies would do.
