No costume changes. The modifications are within the story, not the actual costume. The suit is the same suit from 2007 with negligible differences (like the little minor finds of . . . OH MY GOD TUCKED AND UNTUCKED GLOVES and, DAT NECK).

The same suit. The same suit. The same suit.


TDK suit = TDKR


As for Hot Toys I doubt they're even concerned with the above. I'm sure they've seen pictures, set pics and footage of Batman in TDKR and thought "OOO, AHHH, SAME SUIT, WE JUST MAKE LAST ONE BETTER".

That's exactly what I'd do, that's exactly what Mattel and Hasbro would do. That's what Enterbay, Medicom and all other action figure companies would do.

Same suit with different neck and gloves worn differently = Fact.

Whether you care about the detail or not is the only place where opinion comes into play.

But you can't argue with fact.

Nah, can't agree with you there Void. So if I put my shoes on backwards in the sequel, "DIFABIO II" that constitutes as a difference and my collectible 1/6 figure should reflect that? That's just stupid.

It's the same TDK suit. I bet if I watch TDK again I'll notice little differences throughout the entire film. Should Hot Toys make all those variations from the Lau scene to the Party to the Prewitt building? Nahh, because that's petty.

This similar conversation pops up in Star Wars with Vader, Stormtroopers and Boba Fett. People go back and forth on whether they're different. I'm of the mind that they are. There are actual changes like colors and sculpts. Gauntlets being green then red. A cape chain and the like.

Will these be exclusive items and has HT announced the ES yet?

Yes, but an designer looked HT right in the face and said there is minor changes to the suit, including the neck and gloves.


If you wan't to drop 275$ on an inaccurate figure. Be my guest. I'm not even sure why you are so worked up about this?

You did or a lot of us did and the same will happen again. I'm really not bothered if it's off by 0.5mm. Or there's a missing line. Or a curve is steeper than another. Or there's an extra line. Heck, I'm really not bothered if there's things there that others choose to see but really isn't there but they want to justify it. Or throw tantrums. But they want it so bad thats why it's page after page of the same thing.

Funny the amount of discussions in all these years and you nearly have to spell it out.

Some of you go on like it's your first time in this hobby. When has there been a figure thats been 100% perfect? we keep buying though. Martyrs?
