I'm pondering on getting this one now, preordered the set of 2 Stormtroopers but now I'm thinking I may just get 1 & get this as well..., not sure yet though as the original white Stormie is best.

If this has sold out this is a precursor to what's s to come with sideshow Star Wars, I can not imagine how long an exclusive Boba Fett would last. Without me looking did the Ham/Chewy two pack sell out?

It probably just means Sideshow never ordered that much stock from Hot Toys. Interesting though, guess I'll be keeping my 2 Stormtrooper set preorder after all.

I decided to ponder too, thought missing Python had taught me to stop pondering but clearly I haven't learnt my my lesson yet..., needless to say that as soon as their other exclusive goes live, I'll be preordering Hot Rod pronto!!!

I'm sure if you both jump on the waitlist when it pops up (probably Monday, not sure they update that over the weekend) you'll likely both get one. There are bound to be cancellations.

Given their track record with Ironman armours, is it safe to assume we'll see repaints and re-positioned holsters for ESB troopers, and new sculpts for ROTJ troopers? Thoughts?

I would think they would. It's a good excuse to re-release Stormtroopers and give people another crack at being able to order them at retail. The description for the current pair reads: "The movie-accurate collectible figures are specially crafted based on the image of Stormtroopers in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope featuring bodies with two different heights...".

Have to say, ST went checking inventory faster than I expected. For anyone that missed out, jump on the waitlist as soon as it's up (as a few have mentioned). Since this is Star Wars, I really expect that it will turn out to a biggish exclusive. I remember with Midas, the waitlist was still active and converting like 6 months after it sold out. I think there is a lot of behind the scenes inventory management that goes on with these exclusives between HT and Sideshow.

I really hope this is something they might do. I doubt I'd go for an ESB trooper as it's the same thing with minor touch ups, but the ROTJ Stormtrooper is different enough for me to want one.

As far as EU goes, these guys are dope.

They debuted in 1979 newspaper comic strips. 1979!!! They predate The Empire Strikes Back. Expanded Universe yes, but about as vintage as you can get.
