Payday loans to buy styrofoam.

Re: 1/6 - Hot Toys - IM3 - Hall of Armor (House Party Protocol Ver.) - Spec + Pic

Nice Try, I'm Dave Ramsey Debt Free and pay cash for everything I buy.

It's one of those reverse nick names, like calling a big guy "Tiny"

Oh, so you were just posting the same "$75 for packing peanuts is a steal!" line over and over until someone responded and you could retort with that line to stroke your ego. Well, good work. Enjoy your remolded coffee cups.

Re: 1/6 - Hot Toys - IM3 - Hall of Armor (House Party Protocol Ver.) - Spec + Pic

I wouldn't worry about it. Some people take stuff too seriously and their internet ego won't let the back down. You'll figure out which people can't be reasoned with and aren't worth responding to pretty quickly. The great thing about this forum is that you can put them on ignore and not have to read their nonsense.

Thanks GeneralZodLives, I try to learn and contribute when I can.

Re: 1/6 - Hot Toys - IM3 - Hall of Armor (House Party Protocol Ver.) - Spec + Pic

I'm curious.....how much would you guys pay for these?

Honestly, $19.99 seems like a fair price for these, with $24.99 pushing the upper limit of a styrofoam display with lighting.

Re: 1/6 - Hot Toys - IM3 - Hall of Armor (House Party Protocol Ver.) - Spec + Pic

I guess I'm in the minority on this but I like them.

I understand why they went with Styrofoam and in the big picture it makes sense to me.

Manufacturing anything is more expensive then most of you seem to understand.

Licensing, creating the packaging and shipping them to the USA costs a fortune.

It's statements like the one underlined which is why you have a problem on this forum.

You said before that 'you finally get it' but it's evident that you haven't, you're right back to your old ways.

Re: 1/6 - Hot Toys - IM3 - Hall of Armor (House Party Protocol Ver.) - Spec + Pic

There's always at least one thread that gets people so heated they can't help but get pissed at each other. I notice its almost always about money.:lol

Re: 1/6 - Hot Toys - IM3 - Hall of Armor (House Party Protocol Ver.) - Spec + Pic

I didn't realize until now that when I read a post on Tapatalk from someone who quotes a person on my ignore list it shows the post I have set to ignore. Is there an "really ignore" option?

Doesn't that happen on the desktop version of the site as well?

I don't accept your premise that I have a problem on this forum. A select few people have a problem with me but I could care less.

There really is no point to whining about a product and when you devote a large part of your time trying to convince others that it sucks then it is more then just an opinion, it is a crusade.

I know first hand what it takes to get products like these produced. I know the man that created and ran Master Replicas and he told me and others all about the pit falls of this industry. I have insider knowledge of how and why Icons failed under Jim Latta's leadership.

It's hard to succeed in this venue but Hot Toys is doing it and doing it well, so I seriously doubt a bunch of people whining about the material used to make these is going to matter to them.

Knowing what I know about retail markup, international shipping and licensing fees, $75 is a good price point for this item.

However, I said it before and I will repeat it.

They could have made them to the exact same standard as the first HOA and priced them the same and the vocal minority would still be whining about them.

You can’t please everyone.

Payday loans to buy styrofoam.

It is comments like this that crack me up. You are so mad that I like this and don’t have a problem with the $75 price tag that you have to resort to baseless insults

I never said it was a steal, I said the price seemed to be in line for what you get. And it takes way more then a pat on the back from a bunch of anonymous strangers on an internet forum to stroke my ego.

Having fiscal discipline is probably one of the most difficult traits for a collector to maintain, but I have stuck to my guns and have never bought anything that I could not pay for.

It also helps to not have a good job and no credit card or car payments.

Re: 1/6 - Hot Toys - IM3 - Hall of Armor (House Party Protocol Ver.) - Spec + Pic

If one is happy paying $75 for fast food containers, so be it.

That's great, but Master Replica's isn't Hot Toys.
This forum has an absurd amount of members, believe me when I tell you that you aren't the only one with a friend in the industry.
The people here understand the costs associated with getting collectibles to the market, it isn't rocket science or some big secret.

It's hard to succeed in this venue but Hot Toys is doing it and doing it well, so I seriously doubt a bunch of people whining about the material used to make these is going to matter to them.

People they're banking on buying this item not buying this product would matter to them.

The vocal minority isn't mocking the cheapo styrofoam, the vocal majority is.
You'll have unhappy customers for every product under the sun, that isn't news to anyone.

Yankee has a good arguement there. I love good debates

Who gives a **** dude? Buy your cases but quit trying to convince everyone of your "fiscal superiority" allowing you to pay for these, and their somehow exceptional price point.

******* go back to slicing up cases and making posts about that, at least those were worth reading.

You guys are funny, I never seen anyone on any forum read so much into a post then here. It is both hilarious and sad at the same time. Such fragile little egos....

Yank, if you think you are in a vocal "MAJORITY" you have delusions of granger. I called Sideshow about this and mentioned this forum and the person I was speaking to didn't even know about this place. 20 people on a forum hardly constitute a majority in any circumstance.

I think it's ironic that people in this thread get mad at Mr Walker for his constant negative comments about die cast but those same people feel the need to post negatively about this item constantly.

Ok, we get it, you don't like it and think it's cheap. Great, now please move on so that the people that do want to discuss it can.

The majority of people in this forum, as well as other sixth scale forums across the web all mock this product. So, again you're in the minority.

What some Sideshow CR rep you claimed to call knows or doesn't know means nothing.

I think it's ironic that people in this thread get mad at Mr Walker for his constant negative comments about die cast but those same people feel the need to post negatively about this item constantly.

Apples and oranges.

Tell that to your buddy Walker. We're just warming up.

That's not a good arguement at all, instead of addressing the issue, you target the individuals instead?

And as far as i know, in this thread there are more people complaining about said styrofoam material then praising it. I would call that a vocal majority. And its to bad that SSC is actually partnered with this forum..

And theres nothing else to really discuss about this fig besides the material and the price??

Not to gang up on you but your not really putting up a good arguement

Re: 1/6 - Hot Toys - IM3 - Hall of Armor (House Party Protocol Ver.) - Spec + Pic

I just read this in the way home from work. I'm dying. So much drama over styrofoam. These things like about as durable as the styrofoam that surrounds sideshows premium format statues.
