Something different about this release differing from the previous ones and I couldn't figure it out for a while but now I realized it: this piece has no 'battle damage'! The paint is squeaky clean!

I wonder if HT would be hit with tons of complaints when people see a paint chip here and there now when they open the box or after they've played with it for a while...

The fact that this figure can be in a sitting pose is pretty insane. Really tempted to keep my PO but I really shouldn't, just can't afford him :(

Really love the total offering for the WM 2.0. If I were a betting man, I would go a blue foil box for iron patriot, and a golden-yellow for the mk42. Can't wait to see the final products for all three!

I decided to try WL for the EX version. If he converts, I guess I will commit to it, if not, then I save money.

Sigh, HT collecting logic... :lol

Absolutely cannot wait to get this next week. The paint looks awesome and the articulation is everything I've been wishing the other Iron Man figures had. I've never really liked the Iron Patriot paint scheme so I'm glad I had the option to get this version of War Machine. Plus it'll look good next to my Milk War Machine. Keep the pictures coming!

Haha, agreed. Take a long walk off a short pier, you *******s! :lol

Seriously, seems to have silenced them for now. But if there's any QC issues, they'll be back, and in greater numbers...

Dont be so quick to yell victory, I still dont trust it... especially on such a dull colored figure... ill wait and see how the red/golds and red white and blue turn out

Quit stalling.. take the shame..... :lol

so the first die cast ht turn out great!
and i love the packaging, the foam make it look even more like a collectible
cant wait for the mk42 :impatient:

These 2 look great together! OMG nice pic. War Machine 1.0 looks even more badass in this pic with 2.0, not too shabby for a dated plastic figure. :monkey1

I hear ya, but honestly, I really think HT went the right way with the diecast in these pieces. Far from a gimmick, it seems the focus is on the joints (and it does seem to be allowing for articulation that would be impossible with a 100% plastic figure -- I would not want to be pulling on the shoulders, hips and knees like shown in those articulation vids with a figure that has plastic joints) and a few key spots (like say the chest armour), as opposed to diecast for diecast's sake. If anything, I expect Mark XLII and Iron Patriot will have a lot more pop due to the diecast. Personally, I love the two-tone grey of WM MK II and think it's definitely going to handle and display well.

Nothing's ever going to beat the original War Machine. Easily my favourite IM design and even happier that I got the MILK version. Just an incredible figure but I am very much looking forward to displaying both versions together. Really like the tiny bit of red on MK II's chest reactor and eyes. Should really make a display like that pop.

Ill be honest, that pic of mk 1 war machine next to him really makes me want mk1 too.....though I have milk wm its just not the same. :gah:
