Ouch, that markup's gotta be a dent in one's wallet.
Still better than eBay.
After reading posts about wait lists not converting "yet" or wondering how long wait lists take to convert, makes it sound like you're implying that you are guaranteed one. I don't mean to put down anyone's hope in getting one, because I would if I was in your position. But it's my understanding that if a product has a wait list, it essentially means there are no more. You get put on a list in case there are cancellations, credit cards rejections, or IF they get more in. But even then there would be so many on the wait list not all will be fulfilled if some pop up.
This guy is so big that he is gonna take a bit more work to set up some proper pics.. a few teasers until later. He looks killer with Black Widow standing in front of him..
Agreed on Jingo's photos; I think Hot Toys should revoke Plastic Enemies and replace them with Jingo as one of their "bloggers", because Plastic Enemies' photography definitely isn't doing Hot Toys any favors. In fact I'd say they're singlehandedly responsible for people perceiving Hot Toys Hulk as a $39.95 Walmart shelfwarmer.
It's the fact this figure has noticeable joints is why it is looks like a cheap Walmart toy not because of the pics by Plastic Enemies, although I guess they don't help though.
It's an action figure without a shirt. I don't know what you, or anyone else was expecting that keeps making that specific complaint.

It's primarily those that have no interest in the figure that want to come in here and pee in everyone's corn flakes.
This Hulk has looked the same since day 1 the proto was shown. It was always going to have joints. So either you liked it on Day 1 or you didn't.
Now that he is finally releasing, it makes no sense all of the joint comments since they have always been there and it was never going to change. The griping and B&Ming should have been over months ago.
The bigger thing is to talk about how awesome the paint, the sculpt and the size of it is such a success. The bending hands and the clicking lock joints on the body were fantastic surprises we did not expect.
Overall if you liked this figure Day 1 you are thrilled now.
OMG that face looks so real! Also I have seen other pics where it is obvious the eyes are plastic but in your pics Rory, those look like real eyes!
:eek

Geeze my last few post were about how good it is, I am just stating the dam obvious. Since people seem to be puzzled why people are wondering why it looks like a cheap toy to them. It looks amazing to me!
Although you do state that the face looks real, you follow that comment with stating as fact that the noticeable joints are what makes it look like a cheap Walmart toy.
Thats why you're being quoted. And it seems most here understand that an articulate collectible, no matter how expensive, is going to have joints.
Gotcha. Sorry didn't mean to single you out but there's been some hate heaped on by a few that either don't like Hulk at all or just want to troll those that are really happy with him.
There are definitely some pics that make it look better than others. OMG for one and a couple of guys in this thread several pages back. I think the poses and lighting are the key. Plastic Enemy's lighting makes it look so washed out and similar to a Walmart Toy. Neny D also showed in his review how easily the knee joints can be hidden by the pants so that helps with some coverage as well.
