Lol sideshow tells me I have to go on a list for a replacement helmet because they don't send full figures for a problem part. Furthermore they have no replacements yet Then I come here and see someone got a full figure for a replacement. What a bunch of ********. I'm calling them today, if they can't give me a time frame I'm returning this broke POS.

Less than impressed with their support thus far. I was even offered a 20 dollar credit to just keep the broken figure and be happy with that. Who in their right effin mind would buy a 300 dollar figure, get it with a broken helmet of all things, the most front and center piece, and decide that 20 bucks is worth living with it. Pathetic.
Just do what I've always done..when you receive a figure with bad QC, immediately order another. Then call sideshow and tell them you need to return the figure you just received for a full refund due to the defects. Don't send it back until you receive your second one, cause the new one could be even worse. Anyways, the fastest and least stress free route to go..as long as you have the funds to do so before you get refunded for the one you return.

awesome, happy b-day!!!:clap

Thanks!:hi5:

:lol

I would just take a hammer to a Hasbro Vader and tell them it's the hot toys version.

Riiight? :lecture

Wow, not to add insult to injury but I am in the same position as you and they offered me $25...

Pretty sure they'll make you destroy the other stuff. They did the same to me and later messaged that they hadn't received destroyed pics, but never said anything about that in their original message

Yeah, and it's not a random $20-30 either - it's a pretty high percentage of the overall figure cost. Can't find the old e-mail they sent to me.

And they will sometimes come after you many weeks later, though for minor parts I've found they don't seem to care.

Jeez... That's a ridiculous way of them brushing you off and a waitlist must mean that the figure is selling well or HT is not sending them enough replacement parts? I don't understand why they couldn't just send the parts that i requested... laziness? I've never had any problems with SS besides shipping costs - also paying CA tax, but for the most part have always had good customer service from them. I've heard customers destroying the pieces that were being replaced, but in the handful of times i've received replacement parts they haven't told me to do so. But from what you guys have mentioned i will just switch out the parts i needed, put the rest aside in my parts bin and see if they contact me about building a mini pyre for Vader and make a 1/6 melted Vader dome for his 1/6 grandson (which i don't own :gah:)

Any modder tried to stick the ESB dome on the RO facemask? I'm curious how it would generally look .Might be a good combo

ESB dome is probably shinier then the RO mask? Not sure if they will match since the ESB sculpt is sharper, might be for the domes as well. Pretty sure it will look good from a few feet tho.

Loving this new Vader... but its hard to choose between children...

ESB vs ANH 1.jpg

But but the downward tusks, seam gap and gigantic mouth...?

Joke aside, is it just the photo or is esb figure that much broader then the ro?

That's not RO...

Modded ANH V1 I believe.

And the broadness is due to the arm posing. ANH can also look pretty broad.

Edit: Really need to retake this pic with the belt box lights turned on.

It's actually that silk lining sewn into the cape's edge. It makes the cape billow out and drape slowly. My ANH uses the RO cape, the only cape without the silk edge, so the cape drops instantly into its hang.

Very nice, Wor. :clap

Do you think the belt needs to be lowered at all a bit more?

Why does it bother you so much when some people on a forum express their dislike for this figure? :lol

You have it, you like it. That's all that should matter.

Great futzing on both figures. And the modifications you made to the ANH Vader are outstanding! :bow

Are the dome sculpts the same, but just oriented differently on the new ESB? Also, the figure heights seem the same except for the dome tilt making the ESB seem shorter; is that the case?

Thanks guys!

Yeah, probably now that I look at it.

Sorry for the blurry, sloppy photos. New phone soon...

No worries. Mine are blurry and sloppy as well. And I have an iPhone 7 Plus. Seeing other freaks’ handy work and their figures/collections is all that matters to me. :duff

Your Vader looks like he’s in an “Apology accepted, Captain Needa” pose.
