I don't think anyone is doubting that they can do organic rhino from a technical standpoint. It would just look really stupid. That's the whole point :lol

With good writing, it can work, especially if they make it as mean-looking as the Sideshow Premium Format Statue. And like I said earlier in this thread, Rhino's packaged a s a stupid thug that's all brawns, anyway. I like the tank-like movie design, but would have preferred if they tried to make it more faithful to the comic.

Heard the movie stunk... I dont think the $600 pricetag is gonna fly well with this character with limited screen time

I'll say see for yourself, you might end up appreciating the movie for what it is. As for screentime...

I'd say Rhino's appearance is open-ended. If he's back for the 3rd movie with more screentime in the same costume, this figure would be worth it.

I know I am gonna sound goofy with this, but as far as the movie goes, I still cant watch the first one, much less get to this one. Andrew Garfield has more product in his hair than Peter Parker bought in my entire childhood of reading Spider-Man.

That may be, but he makes a great peter Parker/Spidey.

Loving the mixed reviews on this movie XD Unfortunately i'm one of the ones that thought it was pretty terrible though :(
I'm curious how the film will end up being with all the mixed reviews. To me it doesn't look that great but I find myself kind of excited about seeing it. I didn't love the first film and the big thing I'm not liking about this film is the designs of the villains, but if the film can stand on it's own I can look past that.

Lmao what a hunk of junk! Real awesome they spent time working on this crap when I still don't have batman returns or first class.

Wow, NEVER thought this figure would be made and though I agree with those who don't like the design, it's damn impressive all the same (I'm guessing $800.00 or so for this thing). A shame HT dropped the ball so badly with Spidey, himself (supposing there are no revisions to the costume material). Had they used a Rhino design as seen in Ultimate Spider-Man, I would've had to get the figure, but this, as mentioned, is just too Transformers-ish and doesn't evoke classic Rhino in the least. Hopefully we see a better iteration of the character in ASM3 or a Sinister Six movie.

It's obvious why we're seeing the ASM2 Rhino figure before Falcon: The Falcon does everything Captain America does but slower!

Seriously, I'm liking the look of the Rhino from ASM2. I'm a fan of the classic man-in-a-rhino suit look of the Rhino but I also am a big fan of robots of all sorts as well as powered armour designs, which this seems to be.

Haha :rotfl I hope they have a full on prototype of Falcon at the event t their flagship store coming up here. I'm getting very impatient and really want Falcon!!!

Aside from the design, gotta hand to Hot Toys for pulling this figure off. Quite impressive.

Great execution on HT part but I just can't stand the overall design. Props to HT tho, pretty awesome

I wonder if this is actually just a statue, so far they haven't shown a picture or displayed him in any different pose than the one we are seeing.

Im 90% sure if you pose him any different, he's gonna topple over on those skinny legs unless they use a stand of some sort

They've said quite a bit that this is a prototype, so it's possible that they haven't yet worked in any articulation just yet

Kinda like the Thor figure, the proto pics don't show his arms bent, but I'm sure the actual figure will have articulation in the arm
