I called today just to confirm my payment went through since I never received an email. I was told that it was paid in full and then the person on the phone hesitated and said it should be shipping out soon.
Not sure if that meant anything but my order still says "Item shipped soon".

WTF is going on with Sideshow? Don't take my money and tell me it's shipping soon then go off the radar. Hopefully these issues are just limited to Darkseid and Stan Lee.

For reference, Stan Lee was just at Planet Comicon in Kansas City this past weekend. Basic VIP package was $250 and you bring your own item for him to sign. - https://planetcomicon.com/stan-lee-vip/

Ooo Oooo! I was just there! First planet comicon I've been to in years, but wasn't going to miss my last chance to get my ASM #14 signed by him. Plus got a photo with him and my fam.

What was the process like? Was his staff easy to deal with? Was he friendly and were you able to talk to him for a minute?

just spoke to sideshow I was told that they not have a shipping date and they are inspecting the product to make sure they are perfect. hopefully they get shipped soon

Wondering if the shipment was damaged, the Darkseid statue was in the same batch and got cancelled due to "QC or inspection"

It was fairly decent. Planet comicon didn't do the worlds best job in organizing. Between a confusing photo scheduling system and their staff deciding that it would be a good idea to have the "End of Line" sign girl stand near the entrance of the autograph line holding her sign and texting and giving everyone heart attacks they could have done better.

The photo is straight forward, stand in line, stand next to Lee, take a photo. No touching or interaction unless he initiates it. He did congratulate me on our new baby we had with us which was really cool.

Now for the process of the aurographs, fairly straight forward. You can either bring your own merch or his team (he brings a team of about 40) sells stuff just outside his booth (toys, comics, posters, books, etc.). You have to buy your autograph ticket beforehand. You ready your item when you're about 5th in line. Hand your ticket(s) to the staff member with your item, they hand it to Lee, he may or may not say something to you, you're quickly shown the exiting area then you have an option to buy a certificate of authenticity for $20.

The whole thing is very impersonal. However, one aspect that I will applaud is when I pulled my ASM #14 out of the mylar bag. The cover is not in great shape with a few slices through the front (which I knew when I bought it) but when I handed it to the staff member I apologized for the inconvenience but asked him if he could please be gentle as it is in rough shape. The guy responded with a "Wow, don't apologize, it's awesome you have this!" he then asked where I wanted it to be signed which I pointed to a general area next to Goblin. He responded with "I will make sure it get's signed here but a little to the left that way the artwork remains in tact" I was pretty surprised at the care of that comment. When it was my turn up to bat he shouted at two other guys and said "Alright guys this is a fragile piece we want to make sure there is no damage made", suddenly there were three sets of hands with plastic under them on the book holding everything in place while Lee gently signed in the area he pointed at. I thanked them profusely and Lee said "take care of that book, it's a good one" they let me step aside to make sure it went back in the mylar safely before I left the autograph area.

Overall I was extremely presently surprised by the Lee team and aside from the con mishaps the process was smooth.

That's an interesting response. So what happens if the product is not 'perfect'? I remember a few years ago getting charged for the Mark 42 and it not shipping for 3 weeks. I'm not sure they ever gave a real explanation on what happened there. This is one of those cases where an email out to everyone that ordered would be nice. One CS rep might be telling a different story than another.

After reading your experience, it just felt like you went through the comic-book version of the "Soup Nazi"...

I was charged the first of the week for him, and still says item shipping soon...is Sideshow having some issues right now? They have never been late shipping a figure out to me....always same day as the processing e-mail. Shotgun was due out yesterday and nothing there either.
