Got mine today. Really like it a lot. I wonder if i can get him to sign some part of it at San Diego Comic Con this year. I don't know where he would sign though. The stand already has his name printed on it which takes up a lot of space on it. I was thinking maybe the seat of the chair. I wonder if the material the chair is made of would be good to sign.

Let me know what you come up with. I'm wondering the same. Maybe just have him sign the box? I probably wouldn't do the chair.

The box would be cool to get signed but for me it's too big to put out on display. I'm running out of room as it is and don't want to take up as much room as the box would take. If i knew the chair material would take a sharpie signature well I think it would look cool if he signed the seat part. But i'm just worried the material wont hold the signature.

I read somewhere here that he was doing like one more show and then that was it.

Yeah he will be in Toronto and NYC this summer and both have been listed as his last appearance at those shows. I'm shooting for Toronto first with NYC as a back up!

I agree. Now I'm wondering about having him sign a blank stand and just duplicating the one it comes with. Not sure if I like the chair idea in case it doesn't hold up. I also agree the the box is probably too big to display. Plus carrying around even the sleeve at a convention sounds like a pain!

I will be getting the box signed in Toronto.
Hot Toys seem to get their boxes signed when they have the celebs around to sign them.
A blank stand is a good idea but it was not part of the actual packaged set.
It will be a pain carrying the entire box around and hoping people don't smash into it but I once helped a friend carry around a spidey premium format wall to get signed a couple years back. It was a pain but everything worked out.

Good luck to all trying to get it signed.

I like this idea and good to know about hot toys routine. In that case I may do the same. So do you happen to know my best bet to get to him in Toronto? I'm planning on heading up there but it doesn't look like there are any VIP tickets that include him.

He is doing a whole bunch of convention all over for the rest of this year. Then after that he said he is still going to do conventions close to his home. He just isn't going to really travel any more after this year.

I got Stan to sign an extra Spiderman box I had lying around

From experience , I would rather get the boxes signed over the stand

It just looks better and it's alot easier to protect/store them. The only problem is not every type of ink will stick to the boxes so you need to test the surface our first . I can't get anything to work on the Diecast boxes so that kills me a little.

As for traveling with them, yes it can be a burden but it's a preference thing . I've dropped the boxes, scratched them , cut them and one came unglued. Just keep the box in its shipper and you'll be fine through the crowd.

Re: HT Stan Lee Figure

Mr. Stan Lee just arrived and I must say I don't regret ever getting this guy. This is a figure that you really must see in hand. The likeness to Stan is just amazing. Nothing but smiles as I unboxed him. If you are on the fence on getting him, do it!

Sorry for the late reply to your question. I only come on here every so often.

The year we got the base signed. Stan was supposed to be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
When we paid to get in on the Friday Stan was a no-show so there were a lot of pissed off fans who took time off to get access to him before the rush on Saturday.

The only good thing was that when we went back on Saturday it was only $100 Canadian to get any item we wanted signed.

This year as it is being billed as his last appearance at this Toronto event they might increase the price for signings.

So far on the Fan Expo website they don't have the days Stan will be appearing. The Saturday is usually a lock as it is the busiest day.

They also have not listed the prices for autographs or special ticket events. Just keep your eye on the website for updates.

Things are usually finalized by the first week of August. I hope he does not cancel.

Wow thanks for the great info!

So I finally ordered Stan! Can't wait! Even have a spare directors chair coming from TA which has Deadpool's name on it (soon to be literally!)

One question, as I can't remember the last time I ordered something actually in stock! My order says " Your order is temporarily locked while we process your payment. Please try again later."
Is that normal?
