Are they considering the base(s) and the interchangeable hands as being "loaded" with accessories? Interchangeable hands and a base seems pretty much a staple for every figure.

While I suppose they're technically accessories, accessories to me would be more in the vein of additional items of clothing or gear, weapons, additional sculpts, etc.

The Hot Toys Luke looks a lot better in person...

Wow that sculpt looks better to me. Or maybe it's just the lighting.. Def fence sitting on this one. I almost want it lol. Will look cool next to Kylo with the green saber I have.

What's he yanking on now...?

Luke's just a crazy old man.

Yeah, you wonder what shoots out the end of that robofinger after he does that (love the strategic robes gap though.)

This guy makes it seem like seconds after TFA fade-out he jumps on Rey screaming something about how long it's been.

I wish someone would pose him in a different position. ANY pose!

Yeah the "you gotta a prob with my robo-hand?" stare pose is a bit limiting - though I guess there's also the "removing my hobo-hood" stare pose as a valid alternate.

Can't help but feel that the preorder exclusive base is trying to force people to preorder this before we see a trailer for Ep VIII and realise that his outfit doesn't change and we will probably get another figure with more accessories etc. The first footage may come with rogue one...

Meh. Half my figures don't even use the stand. A patch of green doesn't mean a whole lot to me.

Jeez Resistance Rey already went on Waitlist..I wonder if Luke is next :lecture

I think HT has learned from their past mistakes when it comes to overproduction. It seems that the days of figures lingering around the warehouse until they are blowing them out at huge discounts are over. It could just be Sideshow playing games, but a lot of figures have been going to waitlist recently.

Also, HT has learned that if they underproduced for the demand, they can just do another run, like most of the OT Star Wars figures.

:exactly: plus they are tackling so many different lines and more to come , they can't really overproduce the materials

But Sideshow has also been practicing a new trick: order a smaller number so it goes waitlist quickly, then fans panic and order... and Sideshow waits for their second shipment... and same with their third, etc.

Something going waitlist now means nothing. Just another shipment away.
