Was blown away by this at NYCC. One of HT's best IMO.

This pose is definitely getting old but I can't wait for this figure, that shot looks great. I'd like to see some legit hooded pics, not like the ones in HT's official release.

This is definitely a decent offering from Hot Toys, But I'm going to have to give it a pass.

I feel strongly that Luke's costume is going to be more detailed while still looking similar in episode eight. The episode eight Luke is going to be the definitive look for Luke in this trilogy.

I also think that Hot Toys is going to refine the sculpt so that it looks much better for their episode eight version.

For those that are contemplating between this and the Episode VIII version, I suppose a plus side would be that it's the Luke from the final film where the cast of the protagonists of the OT all appear together again.

Robohand was a gimmicky idea even in the movie.

What, was it latex glove wash day?

Just brings to mind either raging Ani or raging Arnie, and neither are helpful.

Glad somebody else thinks this! I'll be swapping it out for an ordinary hand/arm.

Robo hand looks great to me. There's no telling what happened to cause damage to the synth skin so I'm looking forward to the explanation. Maybe it was just wear and tear being on the island who knows. Could've been a battle with the Knights. Regardless he will be proudly displayed, metal hand and all.

I always just took it as; getting older he started caring less about his appearance, and with the synth-skin constantly getting damaged and having to be replaced he eventually just stopped wearing it over his prosthetic.

Yeah. I think as he got older hiding the prosthetic limb was no longer something he desired.

Or more likely he's in hiding on an island in a remote planet and didn't take a 2-1B with him to replace it whenever it wore out.

Not everything needs spelling out and explaining.

:peace
