She's looking real nice! *_* Hopefully she'll be great in the movie so I have a reason to buy that figure other than "omg gorgeous head sculpt!" :lol

She does look good...am thinking that I might get her now. That's such a good head sculpt. Think I'll wait and see how she is in the film first before deciding. :)

In the scene where Thor gets a hair cut she is holding a purple lantern or something, maybe they could include that as an accessory.

she looks amazing and just like the actress. if i was collecting Marvel Hela and Valkyrie would be the first 2 i would buy. but it is too bad Sif hasn't got a figure yet. :(

The likeness is really good. I hope Valkyrie has a decent amount of screen time. :D

Done.

Please keep it respectful. Consider whether this is a proper place to discuss racial diversity in Hollywood. I mean, this is a toy collectible.
The initial few posts on the subject were fine. However, it's a toxic subject and time and time again it is proven that online debate forums is the worst place possible to have this debate. So maybe just stop it all together, and focus on the collectible?

Agreed. :lecture

Anyway, I like the sculpt (from looking at other better pics), but, like others, the arms are throwing me. I don't have Gamora from Gardians, but was there something wrong with that body that they wouldn't use it for Valkyrie?

There's been lots of complaints about the rubber arms, mostly because the elbows tear if you try to pose the arms too dramatically or for too long. If you go into the Gamora thread, you'll notice a lot of bland poses because of the arm limitation (and pants limitations, but that's a different story). It looks like Valkyrie will have one elbow covered, so that's fine, but the other one might have problems if they use the same body.

I like having seamless bodies, but if it's a choice between seams and not being able to pose, I'll take the seams every time.

Except, let's be honest, HT has never really been all that great for jointed female bodies. If they're going to have that much of the arm exposed, there are female bodies out there that would be better then this multi-cut mess.

Thanks for the info, about some of the troubles have been with Gamora. Still, I think another aspect of this issue is that the joints lack continuity accross the line when you put with Thor for instance...

Are the arm issues really that different with Thor? I have The AOU Thor, and admittedly I don't leave his arms bent very long and it limits my posing, but I don't think I wouldn't want a bare armed version of Thor with visible joints though.

Anyway, I see both sides. Interesting discussion. Thanks

I'm hoping this gets made because HT has become a master of the "show and no" -- Yellowjacket, XMen First Class, Prometheus, '66 Batmobile, etc. I think Valerian may also join that list. The limited accessories may be due to spoilers. I'll be curious to see how they treat the character when she's in Asgard. From the brief glimpse in the trailer she will be riding Aragorn. I hope she's wearing something closer to the comics and has the long braid.

My main gripe with Valkyrie is the rather drab, dull and unexciting costume that figure would just look sooo boring on the shelf, beautiful sculpt though lets hope she gets a more dynamic costume change somewhere in the film.

So Valkyrie will don her oldschool Defenders outfit.

Kinda wish they'd made that suit instead.
