I have only been collecting these a little over a year and i understand the dates they give mean nothing at all. I add 2 to 4 months to any dates they give and if it arrives early it's a nice surprise.
Yes thats nice and all, but we are now looking at a five month delay, with no end in sight.
No one is expecting these things to be out on time. A five+ month delay is a little special, however, and not in a good way. I dont like it, and if anyone does not like my NOT liking it I am sorry, but that's how it is.
As for Sideshow sending out delay emails, perhaps I lack that special something, but I can tell you they have not said anything to ME.

My issue is the flexpay. Leaving out the last payment they have had my money since Dec 2012. That means they have been able to use my $160 (I have to look but its two payments). This also means everyone else that has made payments being 1 or even 2. We are funding them. Before anyone say's its only $160. See it like this. How many people have made two payments (I just happen to pay a head). An what could you be doing with your $160? Remember this was to be out in Dec 2012 and its now the end of Feb 2013. Calif has laws about this.

I don't stress this hobby. But what I don't care for is the issue month/Q. Like close to everyone on this board we put $$$ a side for our items. Or even pay a head using Flexpay. That is my issue. What I have seen other then one item from SSC for me (Lady Death) everything has been on time. Yet HT has been so late the item has gone rotten.
If you live Calif there are laws saying you cannot charge someone for something and not give it to them on time. Same goes with charging ones card. Yet if we cancel SSC wants to charge us 20%. Those of us that know the laws don't eat the 20% (Flexpay) those of use that don't eat it.
I do want this item. I can also wait. But if I go out to eat and place my order. They take my money, then tell me its going to me 4 hours till I get my food. I am not going to be happy.
If you see my other post. What could you have done with $160 (if you used Flexpay) till April/May when you pay it in Dec/Jan?

No, its SSC. HT is the company that makes them. SSC is the US company that sells them. SSC should be the ones pushing for a real ship date. WE are not buying from HT, we are buying from SSC a US company.
In other words, who are you giving your money to? HT or SSC?

$160 is $160. spend it now. spend it later. the thing costs what it costs.

That is the main issue. SSC is at the heavy hand of HT. If a date is given that date should be that date. I did get my email last night after seeing people posting for a bit. At this point, Loki is no longer special to me. I do like him, and I can wait but I really need to think about this.
But sideshow can't do anything until Hot toys gives them the product...Just relax delays suck we all know this,you'll get what you want in due time

If you're so angry why don't you just put down a deposit with CSC, AE or another retailer. That way you pay the balance when it arrives.
