I don't think Nolan's take on the Avengers would fly very well. TA is suppose to be light and fun filled not broody and dark.

This makes me wonder how TA could turn out under Nolan's direction though, regardless of what it's supposed to be considering the comics and genre it's from.

He has a way of turning non-believable elements into something workable (the Bat, Bane's mask to some extent). The Hulk is right under that category, and Loki and the magical elements could be more of a scientific thing, given that magic is (sorry, gonna quote something from the movie Thor here), "just science that we don't understand yet".

Sure, the atmosphere would be different, but I'd go see it!

Yeah! Thout I doubt he'll take the project, but one thing I've always liked about Nolan is how he wants to shoot stuffs "real" as much as possible instead of using CGI.

If there's one marvel hero Nolan could tackle, I'm guessing it could be Iron Man, maybe?

Iron Man would be cool; I can imagine how differently he'd flesh out the character to give him more depth. I think the Hulk would turn out really well too - much grittier and darker than the other films done so far.

Can't see him making a film on Black Widow or Hawkeye though.

those are the two characters that i think he'd handle the best, they're just highly trained individuals with no powers but rely on gadgets. Like Batman.

Yeah, Iron Man is a human with a gadget, but it's a little more fantastical. I'm surprised that he had involvement with Man Of Steel to be honest, so i'm very curious to see how that turns out

But for me, i don't think i'd enjoy a Nolan helmed Avengers movie

I think that it will be interesting and thought provoking, I think that it will look beautiful...But I think it wont be SUPERMAN. At least, not the SUPERMAN Warner Brothers are expecting to get.

I am also very concerned about the 'Superman finds himself' element of the story...that was totally done to death in 10 years worth of SMALLVILLE.

But Marvel would be producing it and that means Disney. Still though, I would love to see him take a shot on a Hulk movie.

Otherwise, cant say i want to see Nolan take over the Avengers, I'm not Nolan's #1 fan. I have no problem with a darker, grittier take on things but I find his films needlessly ubertalky and perhaps a bit too long. If its three hours I dont want to be in a theatre most likely, but at my house - I have trouble sitting still that long. I have not yet seen TDKR for this reason.
