Thor dropping the hammer was epic. And Cap just kept fighting, he had no idea the scene was ruined :rotfl

I had always assumed that shot was CG. Cap grabbing his shield and Thor, his hammer.
The fact that it was all done in camera amazes me and gives me respect for Chris Evans' ability to catch a large diameter shield moving very fast(Then transfer it to his other hand to start fighting...).

That would've been quite a feat, but actually, the shield was CGI. The same goof-up scene (different cam angle though) has been on youtube for a year now. Note the absence of a shield. :lol

I only found out about it yesterday, once someone mentioned it.

Evans really sold that shield scene well though, something that even Joe Johnston I think praised him for in the TFA movie. I think Johnston said that it was crucial that the actor be able to sell the shield-throwing scenes well as they had to use a lot of CGI, and Evans clearly did his job well cos every one of those shield-throwing scenes looked real to me!

Also here's the alternative ending, Never guessed that Loki's 'bondage gear' was all virtual. :D

I'm glad Hill stood up for everyone and everything! Love that gal! :yess:

Evans is a perfect fit for CA. As is everyone else on TA team! :wink1:

Yeah CGI! :lol it was kinda impossible for Cap to catch the shield like just that,
especially seeing that thor is already having a hard time catching the hammer

Yeah...but i have the feeling that if Chris Nolan were to direct the Avengers, I would bet that he would insist on using the real shield for all the scenes, considering his distaste for CGI..

I don't think Nolan's take on the Avengers would fly very well. TA is suppose to be light and fun filled not broody and dark.
