Am I being picky that Falcon comes with a SHIELD base, since he's not a SHIELD agent?

In the final battle, it was SHIELD against Hydra.
That's what makes him SHIELD.
Even though they technically took down SHIELD, the good guys will always be SHIELD, regardless of the public view of them after the battle.
So, yeah, the SHIELD logo works.

That looks fantastic. I must say this looks to be HT's best Marvel line, yet. Every one they've done has, at least, had a few misses along with the hits, but, thus far, between Cap/Steve, The Winter Soldier, Widow, and this, the whole line seems stellar, and, judging by the fact that the Golden Age "promo" Cap is going around the Con circuit sans the Gritting teeth head, with the TFA sculpt as a placeholder, I'm betting he'll be on par with the rest.

best line of figures yet!

Looking forward to adding this one to the collection!

The wings look like they have zero articulation where the part connects to the backpack which means no high flying poses except for a gliding pose or hovering pose. No pose like the movie poster with wings down or up.

Also don't mean to be a downer but I think the wings looks almost like the Marvel Select Falcon figure which makes this high end figure look cheap and plastic-like. Wish they gave the grey parts a metallic finish to be like the movies metallic parts.

no chance. Zero articulation in the wing part that connects to the backpack.

Actually you can get close as I just realized the wings seem to have 3 parts. The part connected to the backpack, the 2nd middle wing part which can fold a little and the bigger outer wing that can also fold down. Still no wings up pose though! Come on HT!

What a great thing to wake up to, It looks great, the wings the head sculpt, just really great work with this one. It's an easy buy for me now, and will look great with the rest of The Winter Soldier lineup
