What was that movie where she played a doctor or something w/ Ashton Kutcher? Friends With Benefits?

I think Cobie Smulders is horrible. I've never seen her in anything else but to me she is beyond boring and lacks any screen charisma. She's like a piece of wood. Kinda like the female version of Sam Worthington.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS245 - Captain America: TWS - Falcon (Official Spec + HI-RES Pic

Falcon definitely did rock and so much of that was down to Anthony Mackie's sheer charm and likability. I think the Marvel Cinematic Universe's greatest strength so far has been its casting. Staring with Downey, they've managed to find the perfect actors for all their superhero roles (with the single possible exception of Hawkeye.) I don't know if Mackie will get a solo film, but I'm certain he'll be a huge part of Cap 3, and maybe Avengers 2, and who knows after that? If Black Widow gets a solo movie eventually I can see Marvel teaming her up with a character like Falcon.

Hawkeye was kinda left out in the first Avengers film. He basically was a brainwashed zombie for most of the film. So I really hope Renner will have more to work with in the sequel, because I definitely think he can own the part.

Casting has been solid for sure, but many will state that Cheadle is a horrible Rhodey though I happen to like him a lot.
On the flip side, and I'm in the minority on this, but I'm not a fan of Cobie Smulders' Maria Hill portrayal. That character does absolutely nothing for me and is easily forgettable though it may be how she is written that does her in.

Ok, going to retreat to my World War 2 bunker now before the natives hunt me down. :wave

I'm still waiting on a HT figure of her. :tap

Well I like Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, mostly because she seems to be into the role, I'd rather have an actress who really wants to play the character and bring them to life than an actress who is only interested in a paycheck(Portman). I think it translates on screen as well, you can tell the difference.

While I think she's a great actress, I think Portman as Jane is a bit bland. Especially in The Dark World. In the first one I liked her. Being the busy, nerdy, bubly researcher and it seemed like she enjoyed playing the part. In The Dark World she was just bland and nothing special. Probably has to do with the first director/friend of hers quitting the job.

Only beef with Jane is that she's an astrophysicist and how starstruck she is over Thor. BUT I guess they had to change her job since they weren't going to go with the Donald Blake thing, but I do think it would be nice to see her go into medicine. I remember when there were rumors that Jane was going to be an EMT or Doctor at the end of The Dark World and that's where we would have gotten our first peek/tease of Stephen Strange. Oh, if only.

They actually did her without Donald Blake as an EMT in "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" cartoon series. It came out pretty well since shes an actualt medical expert that could benefit the independent Avengers team as a field doctor of some sorts

Oh ****, you're right! I actually forgot about that since Jane was only in a few episodes. Man that show was damn amazing. I love how the show was very very faithful to the source material while making changes that worked and even some changes that were better. I hope that the films get a roster as big as the one did on that show. I don't get why Disney cancelled it for that piece of crap Avengers Assemble show.

Agreed and I hope his role is expanded in Avengers: AoU.

Hopefully Joss writes Clint like how Bendis wrote him in New Avengers as well as Fraction's current Hawkeye run.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS245 - Captain America: TWS - Falcon (Official Spec + HI-RES Pic

I saw a cover of an Age of Ultron graphic novel in the window of a local bookstore one day and he had Ultron standing over the defeated bodies of the Avengers, all except Hawkeye who was the last man standing. Don't know how much the film will reference the literature, but perhaps Hawkeye could have a much bigger role in this one? :dunno

IMO Smulders did well as Maria Hill. Very true to the comic. Hill is cold, affectless, and lacks charisma... only because she's not in the job to be adored by people.

As for her getting the role, it's possible that Whedon placed her in to ease his frustrations over his rejected Wonder Woman movie proposal to Warner Bros years ago, where he wanted Smulders to play the Amazon Princess.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS245 - Captain America: TWS - Falcon (Official Spec + HI-RES Pic

I like Colbie as Maria Hill. They just really haven't given her anything to do. Portman doesn't bother me, as much as I hate the way they have just made her a fangirl and kind of useless. I really hate Kat Dennings.I hate they way they write her character.

And I will escape before I get attacked: Robert Downey Jr has stopped playing Tony Stark and has just become a parody of himself. I'm sorry, but that's how I feel.

I highly doubt that the film will follow the actual storyline since it involves everything that has happened over the past 60 years, lots of time travel, as well as the multitude of heroes involved, especially with Susan Storm and Wolverine. It's basically Days of Future Past with Ultron drones instead of Sentinels, but still unique in it's own way. I literally just finished the storyline an hour ago. I don't think it's as bad as people say it is. If we got a glimpse into the future and we actually SEE a **** ton of awesome heroes in the Marvel Universe, I may have a heart attack.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS245 - Captain America: TWS - Falcon (Official Spec + HI-RES Pic

I love Kat Dennings. She makes the Thor movies--which in my opinion are the least interesting of the Marvel movie franchises--bearable for me. And it's not like Natalie Portman is lighting our world on fire as Thor's romantic interest--Peggy Carter she's not. The Thor movies need Kat Dennings to make up for Portman's lack of chemistry with Hemsworth.

You know, they should have just made Kat Thor's love interest in the first place. (Though we all know his real love interest is Loki.)

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS245 - Captain America: TWS - Falcon (Official Spec + HI-RES Pic

:goodpost::exactly: Loved Hayley. Like Kat as a supporting character, but I think the "tension" and chemistry between Jaime and Chris is much better than Natalie. Their scenes together, Natalie and Chris, just make me uncomfortable and awkward. I don't see the chemistry there.
