Loved Hayley. Like Kat as a supporting character, but I think the "tension" and chemistry between Jaime and Chris is much better than Natalie. Their scenes together, Natalie and Chris, just make me uncomfortable and awkward. I don't see the chemistry there.

Totally agree with that. While Kat Denning's humor was written slightly better in the film, I actually hated how there was too much humor in the film. I think The Wolverine and The Winter Soldier probably have a pretty perfect tone. Iron Man 1 as well.

See if the Thor movies were more like the LOTR movies(fantasy films, amazing settings), put Thor with Sif(his freaking wife) I would enjoy them more. Kat Dennings is annoying in these films. The humor feels juvenile and out of place. And she gets way too much screen time. Especially when compared to Sif, The Warriors 3, or the other Asgardian characters. Heck, I want more Heimdal. Less Darcy would go a long way in my book.

But apparently I'm in the minority.

Sometimes though, actors get more screentime when they become more popular. Dennings became more of a household name before The Dark World thanks to the sitcom she stars in, which has favorable ratings. DOFP seemed to have been written with more Jackman, Fassbender, and Lawrence in mind.

I like how Kat Dennings calls Mjolnir "Meow-meow".

The Thor movies, more than the Cap or Iron Man movies, need humor to offset the concept. You have Asgardians making proclamations about this or that doom that's coming to the Nine Worlds, all while sitting in the middle of a Tron set while acting like toned-down History Channel Vikings. It's the most absurdly comic-booky of the Marvel franchises right now so the extra humor is needed.

I agree that Thor could be more fantasy, and I would like to see more of the Warriors 3 and Sif, but I like Darcy and Jane. I'm not a fan of the idea that you have to throw away one character to prop another - good writing and storytelling can take care of that, and you can utilize more than one female. Sif is my personal favorite (I don't care if they pair her with Thor or not), but Darcy is my second of three. I still like Jane -but I do feel like Portman was phoning it in a bit in TDW.

I'm one of those people who prefers Howard to Cheadle when it comes to Rhodey. Howard won me over in IM1 right away, and I felt like he fit Tony's long suffering best friend and sometimes keeper better than Cheadle. Those short scenes with Howard's Rhodey and RDJ felt more sincere to me. *shrugs* Not saying Cheadle is a bad actor, far from that, but he brings something different to the character. I just like what Howard brought to Rhodey better.

I adore Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill. I think she brings the right amount of tough aloofness with the occasional slip of the guard.

To bring this back around to Falcon.....Anthony Mackie rocks. He's one of the many fantastic things about TWS and I can't wait to see Falcon again in Cap 3 and hopefully in Avengers 3 as an Avenger. He was great with both Evans and ScarJo and is just really charismatic in the role. He was a perfect cast.

I agree with most of what you posted there, I'd just say that Cheadle has won me over as Rhodey but I really liked Howards portrayal. I don't mind the character Jane but not Portman, she needs to be recast, otherwise and those are just my opinions

I hate that actually.

I can tolerate it the first time when she honestly doesn't know how it's called. But after she learns the actual name, she should use it, period.

I liked it when in Thor 2 she stands next to him when he first appears in London and says something like: "Look at you, still looking strong" and asking him how space is. That's awesome humor.
But I absolutely cringe at the scene at the end where all the portals are open and she says meow-meow again when Mjölnir flies by. It's just a cheap shot to get some laughs while bringing her character down, because she apparantly thinks it's cool to say something wrong even though by now she just has to know the correct name. Makes her look stupid and annoying.

A good friend of mine went to Philly Comic Con last weekend and got some amazing photos with Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie. Those guys have to be an absolute riot to be around. Here she is dressed as "I can do this all day" Steve Rogers. Love this photo.

That's the best con picture I've ever seen.

I'd be scared to death to approach an actor I like at a con and ask for a special posed picture like this because--what if it turns out they're a jerk and they say no? Glad to see Stan and Mackie are absolutely awesome guys.

Oh these are paid photo ops. The actors stand there and people prepay $50-100 (depending on who it is, and which con it is) and wait in a very long line to get just a few seconds and one snap with the person(s). But usually you just stand next to them, smile, click....next! Seeing the photos of these two from Philly, clearly they do much more than that.
