I bet if HT really wanted to, they could do a two-pack of a 43-scheme PowerPose and Tony in Under Armour...
with a prehensile gauntlet for holding the scepter. The 43's "sentry mode" actually lends itself to PowerPose.
I really like that idea.

Also ...
curious as to why Tony didn't summon any armor for the battle in which Ultron turned the Iron Legion on the Avengers. He quickly got some when he was fighting Cap later in the movie. I wish we were shown where his armor was kept....on the Quinjet maybe? Is it anywhere nearby when they are at Hawkeye's farm?

Maybe because JARVIS was offline? JARVIS controls a lot of the armor's functions so without him, Tony may not have been able to summon the armor at that scene. On later scenes JARVIS was replaced with something else.

That could be it but JARVIS was down while Tony was still using the 43 later on, I guess he could have modified it but its more than likely it doesnt operate using Jarvis

I just came from my second viewing. At that particular scene:

Tony was trying to call JARVIS. So I guess up to that point, the suit was controlled by JARVIS. Without him around, it was deactivated until Tony could load up another OS.

It is also more obvious that Hot Toys was rushing to launch this early and reused a bunch of the stuff that was made for the MkXLII. Some items that were missing/inaccurate:
- Shoulder-mounted anti-personnel guns (like in the MkIII/MkVI)
- Shoulder mounted missiles (like in the Avengers MkVI)
- The forearm missile launcher was different in the film (as pointed out by many here). I think it was correct for the MkXLII though.
- There's also that missile Tony launched at Von Strucker's castle to bring the shield down. I wasn't sure where that came from.

How will the secondary market prices be for this fig?

Will they skyrocket like that for the Mark III and IV or will it drop like the War Machine Mark II and to some extent the Iron Patriot?

Kinda hard to predict. Its still available on SSC.i thought the exclusive price would go up in value but I'm not so sure now :lol

Yep total rush job.... just because they know people will drop this for the 45

Don't think that's the case at all, quite the contrary actually having read many of the posts from those that have now seen the movie.

That being said, it's fair to assume it was rushed and who can blame them? 'Strike while the Iron Man is hot' :lecture

It will be nice to have a figure in hand a few months after a film releases as opposed to 5 years later (Whiplash Mk 2) ;)

I don't mind having this now, and I do not regret my order despite its inaccuracies. If this sells well I do think it may be one of those armors that need to get a version 2.0.

I do have to agree on some cases that it was rushed a bit but still once this hits in stock I'm buying.

I didn't notice in the film Iron Man's eyes glowing red as in the exclusive that comes with the figure. Did this even happen in the film?

So, one thing that bothered me the whole movie that I was expecting to be covered but never was. In IM3, Tony blows up all of his armors, he's done with all of the Iron Man stuff. I was expecting an explanation on what brought him back in the game, but there was nothing. Or did I miss something? OOOH! Or, does that mean that IM3 was not cannon and was not supposed to happen? Because that would be just swell!

I highly doubt a perfectly fine figure (aesthetics) and in die cast format will get a 2.0.

He may have retired as Iron Man as a solo hero, but he never retired as an avenger because it's likely a big deal when they call in the whole team. He turned Stark Tower into the Avengers Tower which is a pretty big clue that he never left the avengers (but he did retire as an avenger at the end of AoU) And the way he reacted when being asked about Pepper implies (to me anyway) that she probably wasn't very happy about it.

Also they explain in the movie that him and Banner designed hulkbuster together just in case hulk gets out of control... I connected the dots myself by realizing that he needed a regular armor to pilot it so he was finally able to finish the prototype armor that was 42 and made it 43. It's presumed that 43 was damaged badly in the hulkbuster fight which lead him to making mark 45.

The only indications about Avengers tower that we see in the movies were at the end of Avengers and in Winter Soldier .... I kind of wished Iron Man 3 at least had a quick nod to it since it was the first movie post-Avengers.
