so messy hair is battle damage??

No, let me be more clear for you I suppose. A sculpt that has some cuts and bruises on the face and chin lines, forehead perhaps. Hence the battle damage. I would also like to have a sculpt that Cap doesn't look like he hopped straight out of the barber's chair like every single other sculpt HT has made for him.

Don't know what your attached picture has to do with it, but pretty lame.

Not over the top like this.

I personally like both the AoU sculpt and the civvy Steve sculpt. Both are spot on, in my opinion.

I concur with kds that there's really not much more they can do with a Cap non-masked sculpt, other than give it a bit of "battle damage", so to speak. A few cuts and scrapes, like the Stark sculpts.

My wait list converted and he came in today. Amazing figure! I had an Avengers Mark 7 and sold it due to disappointment. It felt really light, cheap and fragile in hand. But this is night and day! After Iron Patriot, Robocop, and now this, I am definatley a die cast fan!

The only non DC IM fig I own now is MKVI and it feels so light and fragile. I know dc is cheap pot metal and HT uses very little of it but it does make a difference to me. Hopefully the main movie IM will be DC from now on.

So I got around to tackling the frustrating task of putting the batteries in this guy and I find the left arm light up function does not work! I tried switching batteries around and nothing is working. Any advice?

Get in touch with the returns/replacements department at Sideshow - assuming you bought it from them. I had the same problem and they sent me a new arm lickety split.

Great picture! He is indeed a beautiful figure.

However, I quite like the Mk VII myself. I definitely get what you mean though about the plastic figures just seeming so fragile and light compared to the die-cast figures HT is now producing. If they ever come out with a die-cast version of the Mk VII.....

Sweet, thank you! I sent an email to their general questions section. I'm gonna hit up a representative tomorrow on a chat.

Is it bad that I never put batteries in these figures...? :dunno

You gotta be so careful getting that little screw off or you'll strip it and then no way to get that lid off. The screwdriver that comes with it is not always the right 1 to use in my case that is. I have my own set of miniature screwdrivers that work better.
