Would a trade for a 43 from a 42 be a good trade? I like the 43 a little better.

Between the two, I would probably go for the XLIII, if I could only choose one. However, I can't imagine not having either my collection.

I like the design of both armors, but the XLIII has more of the traditional IM coloration, with the red being more the primary color in lieu of the gold. It's also from an Avengers film. However, I like the XLII, because having the gold as the primarily color is something different than the norm and I have to say, it looks pretty stunning.

Having to choose between both and weigh the pros and cons of each would essentially look something like this:

Thanks! Yeah they pair really well. I have the MkXLV ordered too. I intend to display the 3 Avengers armors together.

I noticed KG Hobby is taking POs for their own custom AoU Stark HS out next month, and it doesn't look horrid. Anyone have any experience with their custom heads? Thinking about picking up one of these to upgrade my IM3 armor testing head.

Is that a picture of the custom sculpt you're referring to, or the current armor testing sculpt you have?

Either way, the sculpt in the picture looks pretty good, in my opinion.

It's a custom sculpt that's being offered for PO. Here's another pic and the link. It's only $30 shipped to the US and comes with neck armor, doesn't seem like a bad risk to take but wanted to hear other people's experiences with KG's customs.

Ah, very cool. I figured it probably was the former. Nice looking sculpt.

The only experience I have with a custom sculpt is the boot leg unmasked Cap sculpt that is intended to be modeled after the civvy Steve figure sculpt in TWS dual pack. I put it on my strike suit Cap. Looks just as good.

True. Although I think even HT themselves sometimes has the tendency to make many of their sculpts slightly a shade darker than what they probably should be.

Yep, my AoU Rogers sculpt is the same, looks darker than it should be in person.
