The problem with that is people who want to cancel but dont because of the NRD might then just scalp it since they dont want it and can make a profit. I dont really know what a good solution would be honestly.

That's not logical.

The day an item goes on sale a lot of flippers that have no intention of keeping it place it on pre-order.

Then if it sells out quick they follow through and buy it but if it doesn't sell out they just cancel it.

This is bad for collectors because it artificial inflates demand for an item.

This whole NRD talk is boring as ****.

It certainly is SO back on topic..., what do you guys think about the paint difference colour wise between the 1:6 & 1:4 scale mark 43 suits? I quite like the more metallic shiny look of the 1:6 scale & I'm hoping it won't change. :)

Pre-ordered this a few days ago... and now I'm contemplating... I'm thinking of ordering the die-cast Mk III, and displaying them together as kind of an Iron Man evolution. The III is really the first movie suit that made Tony into 'Iron Man' (II got so little screen time) and gave him the red and gold look, and the 43 we will assume to be some sort of new beginning for Tony after the events of the IM3 movie. Maybe have the III set up very orthodox and clean like it was stored in the 'Hall of Armour', and have more of pose going with the 43 with his face exposed.

Decisions... the only other armour I'd consider as an alternative to the III I think would be the VII....

This is exactly what I am planning on doing! Really liking this suit; with the colour change it really looks like the Bleeding Edge suit (least to me).

Really looking forward to this next year along with the Mark III, along with Silver Centurion and Python (as a stand in for the black and gold comic armor) it could show a nice evolution of Iron Man... that is unless I pick up enough of the other Avengers to build a proper display (space being an issue there).

1/4 destroys the 1/6 version in every single way.

I kinda agree..... but I like 1/6 better, mostly just for choice

I prefer the 1:6 scale too..., it just appeals to me more really, the 1:4 scale version may look more appealing once Hot Toys do their promotional shots though & give us 16-21 pics of the bigger figger. :)

Does anyone know if Sideshow now charge the NRD at checkout..... it used to show up in calendar if it went through but I can't see it and I don't think I was charged and I ordered a few days ago

I think I'm in for this, Thor and Cap at least. Hulk buster is a high likelihood as well. I sold my MK VIis and my MK I 2.0 and have greatly regretted it. Time to start anew with HT.

Do you mean VII's or VI's

I have two VI's and one BD VII that I would never ever sell, especially after selling my Gun Metal MK3 :ohbfrank:

OK I did say I would get everything from AOU, but I didnt know they would make 1/4 stuff too....... hehe I hope they don't make a 1/4 Ultimate Ultron too.............. oh wait actually yeah do but don't but do HT :wink1:

It's funny...I picked up a Mark VII and was initially very happy with it, but within weeks the proportions, particularly the arms...really started bugging me; they just set me off; this does't usually happen with a carefully considered purchase.

I managed to recoup my cash easily on the re-sale, but now I don't think I'll buy an IM unless it's noticeably bulky enough to fit someone inside...so I'm watching this thread and a couple of others very closely to see how the new releases pan out, because I only want one IM figure but only if it's proportional. This one doesn't look bad but unsure...

This one also looks beautiful in general, but I prefer a duller red, and so far the extremely tech-y, busy look isn't my favourite...but time will tell.

I'll hand it to HT though...all the armours look pretty sexy.

lol :) I see your having an internal debate there. ;) I'm only buying Iron Man is what I've always told myself BUT I'm currently pondering on getting Hawkeye too now..., that will be it BUT if they were to make a 1:4 scale Ultron I have a feeling I may be tempted. :D
