They make new figures of every Marvel figure so why buy any of them if they'll be releasing a new and better one in a few years?

You never know if they'll actually get released like green lantern, Xmen first class, Prometheus, and I'm sure there are a few others.

I do this like a pre order: buy now and avoid potential regret. You can always sell and upgrade if it gets re released.

I still can't get the sticker shock here. It's an oversized, figure. Bigger then hulk.

With Thanos being 15 inches tall and Hulk being 16.5 inches tall they would most likely look like this together.

Wait, do all of you actually have Hulk? Like the actual figure ? Put a ruler next to it. :lecture

Hulk is just under 18 inches, if you count above eye level hes exactly 18

One thing I hate about this figure other than the price is how his toes poke out. He is not capable of sitting with both feet flat on the ground. If I were to buy this I would have two custom skulls to place under his feet

I have the avengers hulk statue from ss but I definitely need that bad boy. I'm not sure if I should wait for aou

Looks like HT would have been better off making Ronan instead of Thanos. Many collectors want to wait for the Infinity version, which we know will be eventually made.

I don't see too many preorders with that NRD either. I can see many waiting till this starts getting discounted down the line. With so many figures coming up from AoU, collectors are going to have their money tied into that line.

That being said, I don't see 2014 Spook level discounts with this, unless it's still around in 2017, which it could well be if HT overproduced.

HOT TOYS !!!!! WE NEED DRAX!!!!!

There will be plenty of time for many Thanos' in the next few years...our Guardians team is not going to be complete without DRAX!!!

Am I the only one who saw the price and thought, "hm, that's actually not bad"?

He's a big fig with an elaborate outfit and a massive display base that lights up that's sure to standout and impress on display.

I'm in.

$415 huh? Ouch.. I just don't see enough bang for that type of buck.
Funny, I thought the opposite. It's a huge, complex figure with a giant display (display alone on e.Bay would go for $100+). Little ol' Vader is $300.00. What did you guys expect it was going to be? Honestly, I have no clue what some of you guys are thinking when it comes to price. And that's from someone that's getting priced out, thanks to the Canadian dollar tanking (and the sheer amount of stuff HT is releasing that I've already got on pre-order). I said earlier anything $400.00 US or less would be pretty good and $15.00 isn't going to change my opinion.

Agreed. Except for the "I'm in" part. I'll have to wait it out and see if our currency recovers. :lol

PS - Only thing I will say in regards to criticism, is I agree w/Buttmunch when it comes to the lights. For these prices (my eyes rolled a bit when I wrote that), HT should include a way to connect to an outlet. Batteries are getting really tedious with displays like this.

Easy pass for me. His outfit looks molded into the body like the Chitaury, I understand that in Ultron or Iron Man but for me it dose not merit the price of 414, Ill wait for the Infinity version.

I wanna get the one with the Infiniti gauntlet version.

The one that may never be made? Sure.

Given that half the stones are not in Thanos hands, and for forty years in comics he has had it for like two months (as in two months worth of comics releases, out of 40 years)...chances are he will have it on screen for like five minutes. Tops. So I would not be surprised if this thanos doesn't sell well they won't make another and give the gauntlet to one of the other characters in the film. Given how many characters will be in that movie I can't see them wasting time and money on another thanos if this doesn't sell really well.

If the trade rumors and talk ive been hearing is true we could have both spiderman and the mutants in infinity war. And maybe FF. Don't has been talking for years with marvel. Fox has actually started to soften recently because they want something. They want a TV universe like dc and marvel are both doing. A show based on mutants. And given that fox only has movie rights to the xmen and FF they are reaching out and asking what they need to concede to get it. And I'm hearing it's camo and maybe some creative control. So if either sonys or foxs characters can tie in, on top of all the other marvel stuff...including I would think both the TV characters, GOTG, Avengers, Sony, marvel, and people that have yet to debut like black panther and ant-man...that's a boat load of characters for a two part movie.

Given the comments about thanos now, and it's higher PP, with loads of figures coming soon including HB...if this guy doesn't sell very well I can't imagine a second one being a hot toys priority.

No doubt you'll be happier buying the same figure with an Infinity gauntlet for 2018 prices. :lol

Not sure about the reasoning behind the price complaints. I think it's a fair price for the figure and throne. The Robocop and chair set was more expensive than this set. Yeah Robocop had sound and had a little die cast but he was a normal-sized figure. Thanos is huge in comparison so I think it evens out. I'm still going to wait for a coupon before I order but mainly because there's no EX--this isn't selling out for awhile so why not save $20.00 and get him for under $400?

I wish they had a version that was cheaper without the chair. I don't care about that. I'm holding off on this for awhile.

He is big but Hot Toys have made bigger.. Hulk. Looks nice but he doesn't appear all that complex to me. The amor doesn't appear to be removable.. It looks molded.. Something that NECA can and probably will do for $100. I won't pretend to know what work goes into these figures and I may be dead wrong but the Die Cast Iron Man figures appear to have a more complex design than this guy. Even General Zod has more intricately designed armor that is removable. I understand that the bigger body would bump the price up some. Just my opinion though.. I'm not knocking anybody who wants it. More power to you. I think $375 would have been good.

Expensive but I'll probably use some rewards points I have saved up which should bring him closer to $300 which isn't too bad. Hate too see how much Hulkbuster is going to be.
