Alright, I need some help from you dudes. I'm more of a lurker than a poster on these boards, but I'm in a spot.Bit of a background, I own DX 8,9,11,12 and James Franco (refuse to call him anything Goblin, he is just my realistic James Franco toy). I decided recently to sell a bunch of my other collectibles and start snagging some of the new Hot toys. I was just about to pull the trigger on pre-ordering Thanos, AoU Cap, and AoU Iron Man when I noticed it only charges NRD. I have only preordered with flex, so I had no idea I could not pay outright in full for these pre orders. Now, I have roughly a grand to spend on these, I do not trust myself in keeping this money in my account for a full year. After speaking with Sideshows they told me absolutely no way to pay fully until item is in hand. So, this is where I turn to you folks, is there any alternative (TRUSTED) seller that will allow a full pay but will refund is say they cancel or what not? Thanks in advance.

Any...any takers? Really want to spend this money.

I went up to secret base to collect my stormtroopers
today and asked them about the thanos sitting pose.
Their answer is no. I said because the pose is a bit
unnatural and not the same as that of thanos in the
movie. They said sorry but that's as close as they can get.

HT - "we almost get it right sometimes"

The biggest cash grab they know he will be featured heavily in the up coming movies , but they know that his popularity will entice buyers he is really in complete with out the gauntlet. I guess as long as the costume does not change you can either get him now and pick up the gauntlet later or wait

I didn't think the newly released pre order figures displayed at HT secret base were set up by the staff in the store, but by someone from head office?
They may not be allowed to alter the figure, unless it has been set up incorrectly, which this one hasn't.

I would say that the legs are not able to be bent far enough back to have the feet set on the floor. The body armour looks like it is preventing the knee from bending any further. Perhaps modifications can be done to the throne, however it could mean removing some of the plastic rods holding the throne up.

I very much doubt there will be no changes to the costume in any future appearance of the character. There may be only slight differences, but it will be enough to make this Thanos not look screen accurate for any film other than GotG.

Sorry, I honestly don't know anywhere that lets you pay in full for any preorders. If you are preordering from SSC there are $20 monthly coupon codes you can use once the figure has been on preorder for a couple of months. If you order with an NRD, you can cancel and reorder applying the coupon, as long as you haven't paid the first flex payment, or you're paying the amount when the figure is ready to ship. So if you are planning on ordering Thanos, I would wait for a couple of months and at least get the $20 coupon because you won't want to cancel the order with the NRD.

Maybe you can set the money aside in another bank account so you don't spend it in the mean time? I know that probably doesn't really help, but the places I know that sell HT never ask for full payment up front.

If you are buying figures from places like ThreeZero and ThreeA, who only sell their own product, you will have to pay in full for figures when you preorder. They're the only ones I can think of.

I know it's hard, but save that money and keep it aside. It'll pay off, not only because you want to buy a toy, but as a life learning lesson too.

BUT, if you just can't handle yourself, do this:

Send BBTS a money order and say that you'd like to purchase STORE CREDIT. Select the amount (contact them previously, that's obvious) and state the amount, send the money order/check and that's it. That credit never expires so you can apply it when Thanos (or whatever else you want) comes out.

You can spend that credit on anything BBTS offers, mind you. So some sort of self control is actually involved.

Hope that helps. But just set it aside. You'll be ok.

Thanks for all the info guys, yeah just going to say screw it and throw them on flex with low payment amounts. Also, fran, appreciate your help, and absolutely not trying to argue or anything, but really life lessons is my problem at the moment haha. I'm not worried about not spending on other toys really. I just made it a point to myself to only buy high dollar amount toys like these with money I make from selling other toys. So, I'm worried that I will break that and be responsible like put towards my house or pay a bill or what not. Haha, basically I'm fighting responsiblity. Thanks for the help though guys.

After looking at photos, a big issue is if the 'forearm guards' come off of the figure currently. Because, if it doesn't, one would have to re-think the idea of buying this fig now and getting the gauntlet later.
