Afraid I missed the boat in this capt.

Having only been collecting for a short time. Do sold out figures like Aou Cap just continously rise in price or do they eventually come back down close to retail levels?

Is that just wishfull thinking? Am I looking at 300+ for this guy from now on?

Depends on the popularity of the figure.

If a figure isn't really popular, you'll often see it on the secondary market in the mid to high 100's (MoS Jor-El, civvy Steve Rogers, etc). For popular figures, such as AoU Cap apparently, I would indeed generally expect 300 plus from now on, unfortunately.

As JBot said though, some may just simply want to get their money back and sell him at what he initially retailed for.

Thanks SilverStar, was afraid that might be the case. No one to fault but myself, I saw this piece in person and knew it was the must have capt but hesitated to pull the trigger.

My Cap figure was just shipped out from fairwayhobbies! Someone may want to call them up because Thursday I ordered when there was 2 in stock and I selected to pay by sending a check. Then I called Friday asking if I could cancel my previous order and re-order so I can pay with paypal, so I did and now it showed not in stock. But today if you seach for AOU Cap there is no listing . Maybe they still did not cancel my previous order and put it back up for sale, or maybe it just sold. But never hurts to try.

Goodluck to you guys that is still looking for him at retail price.

Very nice! :clap

Share some pictures when he arrives.

Thanks Darkknight for the heads up. Just got back from a comic book store that luckily had one. If anyone is near Portland, Things from Another World still has one on display at a fair price.

Congrats! Awesome you scored one and not paying $300 plus on it.

Received my figure from a fellow freak here.

Does anyone else have this issue where the magnets on Cap's back pulls the Shield to the far left or right side and can never sit in the middle? Some of the amazing photos posted on here shows that most of you don't have that problem. Just wanted to know if someone here has and if they know how to fix this. I'm assuming I'd have to take the suit off and readjust the magnet but I want to know from someone who has done it first before I give it a try.

I had that same problem with mine; the shield just would not sit straight on his back no matter what I did. The only reason I was trying that out though, was that I couldn't at first figure out how to get the shield correctly attached to the magnets on his arm. One of the magnets wasn't quite positioned properly on the arm, but I fixed that by just futzing with the sleeve until it was correct.

I'll back up what other posters are saying though--don't take off that costume. Once you unzip that zipper it will be a royal pain to get it working again and you might just break it.

mine doesn't set right on his back either but if you pop out the bottom handle it makes it so the magnet can't make contact and it will set even
