No. Mark I must be best. That's the figure I want to buy.
I also really loved Mark I so there's no disagreement on my part. It became an absolute must-buy for me after seeing the film. :yess:

Yes, even with the limited screen time it got, I just absolutely love the scene and how the design symbolizes Ultron's character in the film.

Yeah I don't get it. :dunno

The head sculpt is a HUGE improvement, but I don't get why they'd change the body sculpt when it looked more accurate before. The shoulders are debatable though, they actually look better in that they sit more flush on his body, whereas it's really the neck that still needs to be wider honestly.

Still it could be a different sample proto for all we know, so it's going to be hard to tell which one we'll actually get.

Yea, I think it's safe in having faith that they know that's the right head and the wrong body :lol. How and why that proto exists that way, I have no clue but I want to believe that they'll get it all right in the end. It really would be pointless to tweak the body for inaccuracy

I was lucky enough to see the movie tonight and this is now an immediate must buy!

Another convert! Ultron Prime was an absolute beast in the film. :hi5:

... and THIS is reassuring. I saw a couple of clips that started deflating my pump and giving me doubts. Particularly one where he was bringing comedy and I was like uuuggghhhh

I can't imagine anyone who wants to see this, especially comic fans, not liking this movie. That's all I'll say

Ultron's personality leans closer to dark humor and gets borderline morbid at times though, so it's less jokey and more psychotically patronizing/sarcastic in tone. As long as you recognize that Ultron's personality almost serves as a dark twisted version of Tony Stark, he's actually pretty fun to watch (not to mention how he feels just as expressive as his comic versions).

Thank ypou for keeping that piece of reassurance spoiler-free

I was hoping all of that was more the case and I just misconstrued the isolated bit that I saw

I've avoided all these movie related threads for a few weeks now. I had to stop going to the yahoo homepage because they started posting a million avengers articles.
It's almost impossible to see a movie without the surprises, plot, etc being ruined...it's sad

If HT could could give us the right proportions on a statue here, would it hard to just shrink that down and add joints? Fine details, I understand could be hard in a sense.

Then you don't understand production, scale, articulation, design, engineering...it's not Magic. They can't just say poof and make it smaller with joints that work and lights and battery holders and wiring. It's not really hard to understand why a 7 ft tall statue that has no articulation doesn't just magically become a 16 inch tall fully articulated and lighted toy.

You just gotta believe, man! :D

doubt it, these "mechanical" straight edge designs are often based on 3d models, probably the same cad/3d max file. unlike sculpting, it should be much easier to output by 3d printing.

can someone confirm that HT is now using 3d printing technique to produce figures?

Why the hell did they change the chest plate design?? Thanks god we have alot of time yet. Tbh everything they changed looks worse, only his shoulders looks better. (Not even the face made me happy, cuz he got a big nose like squidward now).

OK time for James Spader to change my mind and PO an Ultron....very excited...see if in two hours I am on SSC site PO Ultron's....

A 3d printed object doesn't change what I said. It doesn't print out with joints built in, with wiring, with LEDs...and all that stuff. And even if they 3d print a prototype, they still produce it with the same manufacturing injection mold process. Where it's broken down into "trees". 3d printing, or sculpting, either way it doesn't just magically work.

So maybe, just maybe, I am correct. This is a figure with 30 points of articulation. None of which are 3d printable. Eyes. Not printable. LEDs. Not printable. Batteries. Not printable. Switch. Not printable. Wiring. Not printable. And the production figure...not printable.
