I bought mine at my LCS almost a week ago now, actually.

Not gonna lie but I'm actually lad they gave him the more emotive face with Ultron Prime but it would have ideal to give him the full on classic look in his final form.

Agreed. Looking through the concept art, while some looked nice, I actually like what we got for Ultron Prime especially since he looked so great onscreen. Rather it's Ultimate Ultron where I wish we got the more traditional Ultron face to further help differentiate the designs.

looks like the chest plate can be opened up. am i right?

Having seen AoU I'm really loving Prime now however I think Hot Toys has dropped the ball on this as they should have had an alternate head where he has his cheeks open and the red light visible. I loved it in the film when they were open as it looked much more classic Ultron
Found a gif of one of the animations for his cheeks opening up. Pretty neat.

I've always been tempted by the "Art Of" books, but AOU was the only time I ever caved in. :lol

I have a couple of them and they are pretty cool. I wish I had more time to peruse them, but they will be there when I do find the time...

I still think there should be a "The Art of Hot Toys" book with hi-res photos of all the HT figures. That would be a great coffee table book!

That would be cool. The catalog they put out each year is close. And there's a magazine that occasionally does that. They did a ten year anniversary issues two years ago that had every figure in it. Was very neat. I'll see if I can find it. Also, sideshow does or did a coffee table book so maybe...

Figure King/figure oh is the mag. The big spread I mentioned was a bit older then I thoughht...2010. Lol man time flies. But they do new figures each month too so that helps. Here's a few pages...
