After another viewing, when Ultron is talking to Natasha before the Ultimate reveal, you see him plugging in a cable into a body but is that supposed to be the Ultimate form? I can't see it on the ****** quality version I have. o_O

Definitely gonna go see the movie in theaters again tonight though. I appreciate and love it more every time I see it.

I think what he means is that you literally don't see him create his new forms. I liked the Ultimate reveal BUT the transition from Mark I to Prime was the weirdest thing ever.

Like I stated in another thread, there was clearly a scene or more cut from the party attack to the twins meeting Ultron.

He just already in his Prime form AND the twins happen to walk in on him and wanting him to give them info they apparently got from an unknown source. We never saw what happened to the twins after Strucker's base. So yeah. We should've gotten a scene of Ultron getting his Prime body and the twins getting information to meet Ultron.

Yea, the movie definitely got sliced and diced . That's been a big topic of convo in the movie thread since opening day. Glad to see it's growing on you more with each watch. That's also talked about a lot and seems to be a phenominon :lol

I first thought that we should've seen a somewhat vague "build" sequence to make his full reveal in the church more powerful, but after watching this three times I see why it wasn't necessary and maybe even cliche. I do think there should have been a little more than just a glimpse of him taking over the Hydra base and starting to build his army, but it didn't need to be overly elaborate.

Like I just posted in the movie thread, this movie needed another 15 minutes to illuminate certain things and smooth things out little better. 30 seconds more spent on this, a minute more spent on that and it all would've all went a long way.

I think it is Ultimate Ultron and we're meant to see that Prime finishes making him, then he gets up from the table and destroys his previous body.

There have not been any cons recently. The best chance for great detailed photos and coverage is sdcc.

This guy can't show up fast enough. I usually have patience but I'm pumped for this. After watching the movie a few times he's really grown on me and is one of the best MCU villains IMO

:clap Definitely agree with you there. Probably my most favorite MCU villain with Loki and Fisk just behind him.

I think it's interesting how Ultron's sympathetic nature towards others lends to his own twisted logic. I think it was you who mentioned it in the AOU movie thread, and if so, then I definitely agree with you. So yeah, I agree that he's sympathetic in a self-serving way. He appreciates the notion of companionship but he clearly recognizes that his plans could potentially kill those who side with him. It's a contradiction between his motives and personality rather than outright hypocrisy; he doesn't want to be alone but he deems the idea of an extinction-level event as necessary in order to "restart" the human race.

Sort of reminds me how in the comic, Ultron desires companionship but everything he creates always ends up betraying him. I think the farthest he took that concept in the comics was when he deemed the Avengers as if they were his own family, but wanted to turn them into androids (or was it robots?) so that they're better suited for his new age. :lol

Yup, I posted that and forgot to add that even when he had Widow as "companionship", it was only really to torment and scare her. He did have the need to share his accomplishments with someone, but it was of the usual self-serving and confused nature as all his other behaviors

Great villain and seemingly underrated. Only real problem I had was I wanted more of him :lol

@DarkAngel: :lol

:exactly: Whedon should have just made a villain piece out of AOU. It would have gotten him less flak, that's for sure. :lol

So I finally managed to source where King Arts and those differing HT sculpts are based on, inaccurate chest and all...

Seems like even the much-loved Empire magazine cover was inaccurate as I had previously suspected when I compared it to other screencaps. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if the filmmakers kept tweaking Ultron's design till the last minute, just like what they did with the Sentries.

From what I can tell across all the different promo materials, I think the most accurate depiction of Ultron came very late with the most recent EW magazine cover:

Honestly, looking at videos and pics, I think the primary sculpt for the HT Ultron Prime is by far the most accurate in terms of matching those details. Really, all they need to do is sharpen/refine the sculpt and thicken the neck.
