1/6 Hot Toys - MMS284 - Avengers: AoU - Ultron Prime Collectible Figure

I have been thinking picking up another curio so i can make a villian display (actually my girlfriend suggested it). It would be Red Skull, TWS Winter Solider, Whiplash MK2, Mandarin, A1 Loki with Chitauri, Ultron Mk1 and Ultron Prime. I like the new crossbones figure so he could join them.

That would be a good looking villain shelf.

I actually don't have a separate villain shelf per se; I have most of my figures consolidated by film, villains included. I'm contemplating picking up a Crossbones as well, as I really like the outfit and I like the way the figure apparently turned out. I want to get an IW Thanos also (presuming he'll include the gauntlet), but provided the price is right.

On the DC side, the only villain I currently have is MoS General Zod.

I'm collecting the MCU Villians aswell and even tho The Mandarin wasn't all that I hoped for, on my shelf I'll pretend he was the bad ass I wanted him to be!
Ultron will join Thanos on a shelf by themselves and really looking forward to Crossbones.
Really do wish Hot Toys would bring us a Ronan.

Looks great, Leenart! I like the way you have all over the Infinity Stones stacked on top of one another. I have all of those same stones as well.

I like your Superman shelf just below it also.

And the feet can actually rotate side to side. It's just very stiff and not a large range. I missed that. So whomever I was talking to about that yesterday...I was wrong. My bad.

but he said he got the figure in hand and swore that its a
ball joint. so im not sure. do you have the figure in hand

Hey..he does have ankle tilt. It's not full range. I was wrong though. I didn't get much time to play with him and the joints are stiff so I didn't push it. But, your friend was correct.

How much range do they have? Next to none? Or enough to spread the legs a little and keep the feet flat?

He can move more then enough to do a wide leg pose. It's not full range from what I can tell. There seems to be a stop so he can still be stable and you don't have to worry about the joint getting lose. Which is something they addressed at the show. Saying the ankle articulation was limited (which I took to mean only one direction but that's not the case) Becuase they wanted to build in stability. If he fell over those cheek things on the side of his had would snap pretty much every time.

I'd say 5-10 degrees easy

Yep that's what I'm indeed going for! all hungry for power, and to display the Infinity items in front of them.

I'm really liking the photo's of Motuxmen! So I can't wait for Ultron to be here!

I collect only cosmic level villains, so no Monger, crossbones, whiplash or mandarin for me. I was leaning towards getting Ultron but the movie version and design don't really impress so my next villain will likely be IW Thanos, unless the get smart and make a Ronan.

That's actually cool though. Even if it's just a small nudge, it's enough to make a difference in some posing stability.

Check out Xeno's video review a few pages back. He moves the foot to show the range of motion.

I'm torn. I wish they would have used magnetic panels for the lights. Ugggg. I don't mind leaving the back panel off but u sure can't leave the head or arm panels off.

The arm panels pop right off. They are super easy.

The head is a little harder but not that big a deal
