I bought a knock off sculpt off EBay for my Daughter’s Sideshow figure. The sculpt and paint are legit. Better quality than most Sideshow figures (not saying much).

That's...... not too shabby. Face is a touch long, but they did great with her eyes. Regardless, that's an amazing Leia for your daughter.

I was waffling back and forth about the price and then it closed. I did check the thread from time to time to follow progress.

It’s not as long in person. Still, it has its quirks but it’s an economical alternative.

KO sculpts are essentially just like the HT sculpt. Only real difference to the eye is the seams in the KO sculpts are more discernible. KO sculpts are more than adequate though in getting the job done without having to drop the coin for the actual HT sculpt.

Do you have the original to compare size-wise? I remember seeing a HT Han smuggler ebay knock-off and paint-wise it looked pretty close to the original - but it was maybe 10-20% undersized vs the original, so kinda unusable.

Not sure why, but someone told me that most recasts on ebay are too small, something about the way they cast and manufacture knock-offs.

Not Leia but I bought a knock off Obi Wan to use on the SS version and size wise it seems perfectly fine.

That does look a wee bit small, judging by the hands.

It has to be small by 2% at least since its, by name, a knock-off. They're not using the original print.
