I can put a few stitches in but that’s about it. Still thinking about the best way to make a holder for Leia.

The dress is coming along well though. I stopped by and offered a few suggestions and looked at the new material she bought. She’ll make some changes and then probably have one finished out next week. The price should be around $90.

:clap

Any update on the dress?

We’re looking for some better material right now. She made one last week out of some fabric I bought but it just didn’t drape right. It was better than HT’s but not quite what I was looking for. Hopefully she’ll have another done this week.

Any shot?
I guess pattern is ready but you did not find the right fabric yet?

I didn’t take a pic since it wasn’t quite right.

She’s tweaking the pattern she made to make the lower dress not billow out so much and also changing the sleeve shape to drape properly. I’m excited to see what fabric she found last week.

Thank you for the update....help us Cocoboloboy, you're our only hope lol.

Lol! I just got word she picked up a couple yards of fabric that she thinks will drape well. That’s my main concern is that it drapes like a 1:1 dress. HT’s is horribly stiff and unrealistic.

Prototype in hand. Still gonna tweak it and try some other fabrics but it’s on the right track. She forgot the slit on the sides but it’ll be corrected for sure. Looks a whole lot better than the stock dress as is though.

Looks pretty good! If anyone's having trouble finding the right fabric for a custom dress, I could always send you a couple yards of the type I used for mine, that I got at a local Vietnamese shop. It's thin and smooth and drapes really well.

Pattern is looking good so far Coco....now get together with davejames for that fabric!

Yes! Please collab with Coco, I can see this being a great alternative to the stock dress. I'm all in.

That looks great! It looks a lot like the Yunsil dress.

I chatted with dj and he graciously said he’d make the fabric available if I need it. I think I’ve gotten hold of a local supply of the same fabric he has so I’m going to drop it off with Cindy tomorrow so she can make another Proto out of it. I think this oughta do it.

After she’s done with this project I’m going to see if she’ll make a new tunic for ANH Luke for me and probably a new set of Jedi robes for Old Ben since I’ve never been satisfied with what HT did. A new Emperor robe would be nice too.

Davejames, it's a shame that you hadn't noted down the pattern for the dress. It's fabulous.

I hope you take down the pattern of the costumes you sew in the future :)
Actually, it would be better if everyone do that.
