Oh yes! I almost forgot why I have started to hate this forum after loving it for so long.... Thanks to reading a few posts I was quickly reminded.

You and me both. I'm getting too old for this nonsense. :lol It reminds me why I've stayed away for so long.

These HT releases are so beyond superior to anything we've seen in any scale that I can't help but be thrilled.... No custom of any sort comes close. I understand that peoples opinions differ but it gets old being subjected to the same thing from the same people in every thread.... Back to the Cantina.

Super excited for this to ship! She looks amazing! I've been in heaven with every HT Star Wars figure

Here's the classic tutorial on Water Treatment.... though there's lots of different ways to do it.

Rebelscum.com: Photo Archive

I'm going to try this on Kylo

It's interesting the guy left all the hands and boots on the figure and pretty much left everything in tact while dunking it

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

I don't know, as a collector of these figures since "the old days", I gotta say I'm pretty damn satisfied with what HT is giving us and never really expected to see figures look this good right off the production line.

Are they perfect shrunken down versions of the actual people and props? Of course not, I don't expect that from any 1/6 scale figure. At this point, Id say it's not even attainable.

Even the most expensive and labor intensive customs still don't look like perfect little humans to my eyes, but props to those that do them. It's nice to see people take the time and care to improve on greatness like this. But yeah, Leia here looks pretty amazing to me, better than anything we've seen before and just super impressive out of the box and on the shelf with the rest of the figures in the line.

having this group on the shelf at this quality is a dream come true for me, and honestly I feel like I could get rid of almost everything else and just be happy with the ANH bunch and the OT troopers as my collection

This post sums up pretty much everything I think about this line. It's been like a chance to go back in time and get the figures I always wanted back in 1977. It's been a really special collecting experience. I end up selling many of my figures but I'll never sell these.

Totally agree. I remember desperately wanting the large scale Kenner figures back in the day but my parents told me they were too expensive and were "dolls" (for girls) not action figures. Same deal with Stretch Hulk, mego Marvel etc.

So, all that money I should have spent on therapy, I've funneled into Hot Toys!!!

I think this hobby is a kind of therapy (when it's not a kind of madness!).

....except Leia.:dunno

(...and Han lit harshly and slightly in profile, Ben with hood up and sides of face not visible, Chewy with... well... make-up on etc.)

I actually think the Han sculpt is alright. I think Luke is a worse offender.

Agreed. He looks like a cross between Jamie Bamber and Tom Cruise.

haha not sure what you're saying, but that picture is awesome!

My Obi & Luke are still being flexed, but soon I will have this group along with you man

I think Leia looks amazing in the recent pics. I'm over the moon and can't wait to get her.

Chewy's head is the worst out of all imo.:monkey3

Same thing with me and my brother.

nah, just needs some futzing and it looks great. people seem to watch ANH with some kind of drunk goggles on because Chewie in that movie didn't look amazing. The figure is a good representation of how fugly chewie is, and I love it!

It's about US$10 cheaper at Sideshow than PC after conversion (Leia went up later than figs like Chewy,) but the EX is worthless so no great loss.

In my experience CC companies take a few more cents off the exchange rate, then whack a foreign currency fee on top, so it comes out more expensive than a straight conversion. But yeah, there's not much in it.
