I would love to see pics of Pixelpipers perfect collection with all the mods done, but he doesn't own a camera or have the time to take any. However, has the time to make 10s of thousands of posts. Lol.

I have almost every one of these OT figures to the side (3/4 angle) for one reason or another. They do all look better like that as they all have their own issues (Stormtrooper and Vader included). But really that one photo showed a really poorly futzed Chewbacca face next to a bunch of sculpted heads. Still think it's an awesome photo though. The crew looks great together.

With regard to Leia, very pleased to see the head sculpt looks like the proto. It's really excellent and I think the undeniable consensus is she's the best of the SW bunch--very promising for her Hoth and Endor looks.

I think the drop off with Luke may have been in part due to the hair piece.

Man, I freakin love this shot. And really glad to finally see some pics with the hood up as well.

And I'm not too worried about the outfit. People were able to futz the Vader outfit and make it look a helluva lot better, so I'm sure the same thing is possible with this as well.

Will do, in daylight conditions, -- and in the Chewbacca thread.

The eyes are set a little too close together, and the mouth could be wider. Chewbacca is amazing, but of course flawed.

However:

The eyes can be remedied a bit by combing the fur to form brows and lines radiating outwards. The mouth can be cheated by arranging the moustache area so that it has direction, shape and volume.

Now back Princess Leia. She's going to look great with the walking carpet.

(Wow. Leia's pretty racist in ANH).

Leia may be the best of the line for me.....

Chewie is easily the worse, no matter hoe many apologists there are for him, or how high the scalpers can get, I have only see a handful of pics of him that look good in any way.

Hard to say. Doesn't matter to me personally if you dig him or not, but check out his thread -- I just posted some full frontal. No colour correction, physical or digital, no trimming.

It's not perfect, but I feel the shots show him at his best head-on, up to the viewer to decide.

I agree that some shots of Chewie are train wrecks, but those are generally unfutzed.

Can we get back to the Leia Lovefest?

OK, the praise for this figure has officially jumped the shark. When so many people set the bar so low it's no wonder so many of HT's releases are just phoned in.

A head sculpt alone shouldn't make something figure of the year - the dress and shoes look like an homage to Hasbro and the overall value proposition on this release is extremely low. I'm still hopeful I don't have to commission a new dress, but the photos aren't leaving me confident.

Dunno - those boots look as sweet as Ben's.

HT Luke looks more like Luke than HT Ben looks like Ben.

And if we're talking likeness/accuracy of face sculpt, SSC 3PO's is noticeably off in several ways, even if it's a marvelous piece overall.

Totally agree, I love the boots, they look great, even said so to Wor Gar earlier today so I'm a confirmed believer on the boots.
