Leia looks amazing.

I'd be surprised if an ESB Leia was a sure thing, many people would think twice about getting one if they already had this. This is the more iconic look.

So only Boba Fett to go now and then maybe no more OT figures this year from HT other than possibly Stormtrooper Han? I'm hoping for an announcement on Luke and Yoda soon.

I'm also curious what the next figures will be next OT wise. Do they continue in chronological order or just skip around picking and choosing what figures to release? Hoping to see jedi/snowspeeder luke, snowtroopers, yoda, emperor, r2, and yes the falcon sometime soon.

Is this a newly customized body or are all of HT's female figures this short? Luke's a pretty small fig and and he's an inch taller. I don't recall if the female HT bodies I have were this short.

These three! I know the middle one's never getting made, but it'd be nice if it did. That last one's my favorite though.

They have the license for all of the films--I think they announced 1-7 when they got the license. I agree the Hoth look is perhaps her best. Tough to deny the space buns though. I'll consider switching to ESB Han and Leia combo when those are revealed but for now it's gonna be awesome having all these ANH figures.

Sideshow also has a license for the OT films. I don't know what their arrangement is, but either HT or Sideshow could potentially make an ESB Leia (I have a sinking feeling it'll be Sideshow given its recent Hoth releases).

Oh yeah, you might be right. I just think of Hoth Leia as the main ESB look, but he did mention "hair loops." My hair braid terminology is a little lacking.

Yep, the Bespin Escape look was the one I had in mind. I'm not sure "hair loops" is the correct technical term either. :lol Braided loops, maybe?

I think Hoth and Bespin Escape Leia could be 1 release: just have switch-out hair and a set of gloved and ungloved hands. Otherwise everything is the same.

I was thinking the same thing... except I forgot that Hoth Leia has her hair tied up, which would require that second head (or swap out hair).

Yes - Hoth Leia and Bespin Leia (white outfit) are the same outfit without the vest. You would just have to change out the boots and the hair. It would be a fabulous figure.

HT Leia gives good head, but the dress isn't long enough to poop on.

It looks so bad I might have to resort to the old Sideshow one. :slap

They had it right on the prototype:

Is it possible that the dress length is merely a futzing issue?

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

There should be enough material to billow over the belt and still reach her ankles.

HT saved money by ordering less material.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

I wonder if HT added leg pegs to adjust the height of the figure to better match Luke and Han.

They did it to ***k with us

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

The dress in pretty damn unforgivable!

Even a $5 figure can get it right... how hard is it :slap

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

the stiff dress material takes this down from a perfect figure.

If the material had been softer to allow it to drape better, it would have been a "10" out of 10.

Looks like a straight museum pose for me; arms pretty much hanging straight down so as to not accentuate the stiff dress material and out of scale folds.

I haven't seen this parted out yet on ebay. I wonder if the belt is removable so you can futz with the dress more to the ankles :dunno
