I thought about getting one and was on the fence before
It waitlisted, but my favorite version of leia is the ESB one in the Hoth outfit. I'll definitely get one of those. A Force Awakens version would be nice, but I'll always remember her from the OT and Empire especially as that is still my favorite Star Wars film.

I bought this at 20% off at Popcultcha, a few hours later it was announced Carrie had a heart attack. She's in the post now, will take pride of place in my collection when she arrives.

Very sad about Carrie Fisher. Still have no interest in this figure and waiting patiently for ESB Leia. The sudden price spike is funny though, people could have gotten this for like $150 on SSC earlier this month with that $50 coupon.

That's a nice idea, guyver.

How did you get the wired hood to drape so nicely on the head? Looks like it has the effect of gravity pulling it downward.
Do you have a wider shot of the figure, just curious how the hood looks from a different angle.

Exactly. I checked SSC just for kicks and of course, she's all gone now. People who capitalize on someone's death are low-lifes and pathetic imo. But please note, I am strictly speaking about all the scalpers trying to get insane prices, not for those who want to keep her memory going by getting the figure. That's all I have to say about that. Carry on.

Um, uh, yeah, no...that's both your opinion like it's my opinion that I don't think the likeness is 100% (which is what the words exactly and prefect depict).

I am with greygoose. Sculpt could be improved. Face is too round? It is still a good likeness though. I am hoping for a non-buns look like in ESB or ROTJ.

Maybe I should rephrase the 'way off' comment to just 'off' because the sculpt is off regardless. No Hot Toys sculpt is exactly 100% or perfect.

It's clear from the real photo of Carrie and those photos(Lovely pics, lads, well done), that while it's not photo real, it captures just enough to look like her. I reckon it's a better effort than Luke or Han, but that's just my opinion.
I ordered one last night before the rush becuase i had never thought about getting it before and just changed my mind with the sad news. I'll never sell mine. It will be next to Rey and BB-8 and Jyn and the gang when they arrive.
As for "scalpers", folks. Just ignore them. It's only business. Selling something for more than you paid for it is what makes the world go around. Don't act like any of them are responsible for the world's ills.

It's a good sculpt but it's still off 'perfection' and you would expect Hot Toys to improve on the sculpt for her next figure.
