Had I? Yes, but I've also seen the movie. But it wasn't just hot toys, half the promo art had it as well. And when has hot toys just randomly made up some weapon?

I didn't say they made it up. I said it had no context, what does it do? Is is it a non lethal option for guy who calls himself WarMachine and wants to rough up ex team mates? No other stills thus far show him with it in any other scene but the airport. At one early point in the rumour cycle the Russos implied he was going to be called WarHammer. The promo art I saw never showed him with both, it was either the minigun variation or a laser canon. So the question was did the the gun detach and double as a baton/WarHammer and would he sport double shoulder mounted weapons at the same time.
Youve seen the movie so now you know, but before that you didn't know any more than we do who haven't.
It was all guess work and HTs promo shots didn't shine any light on that.

The latest commercial I have seen showed War Machine with a lot of guns and missile launchers.
Top of both forearms like normal as well as the bottom. On the chest on both sides just below his head.
His main gun over his left shoulder and another missile pod over his right.
It looked pretty bad ***. Hopefully we get all this on the figure.

They'll probably release it as a super limited deluxe premium edition :p

people thought the baton was also his gun? weird, i never got that impression.

i feel like it was pretty obvious what it was from the beginning.. or at least an electrified baton is what i thought it was from the beginning. my hang up with it has been it's apparent lack of storage on the armor. i'm still hoping it has a place.. even if it just magnetically attaches to his back.

anyways.. i wonder if it'll be reworked prior to the figures release, it does look quite different in that screenshot compared to what hot toys has done.

i hope not.. i'm going to have to go find that commercial. i LOVE when these armors are decked out in weaponry, though it doesn't seem like they've done it to them in a while. if this armor does indeed have a bunch of weapons that aren't included with the figure, i'll be a bit disappointed.

I did see the costume designs behind the scenes and the War Machine armor does looked jacked full of weapons, maybe even moreso than the Mk1 minus the minigun, so I did get excited for this version and will probably get it. I did notice that shoulder missiles from the Mk1 being in play in this version, let's hope the designs do make it on screen. :wink1:

But yeah, that airport scene was just the principles and doubles I think so I wouldn't know, plus I'm sure a lot of it will be post-production CGI. We just worked the hot-as-**** opening Crossbones scene in the ATL.

There's still no answers from that image. There's no context. And you didn't mention anything about purpose, you brought up its existence, and made it sound like hot toys was the only one who showed.

As for the art you saw...really? Because I could t find any that had only the hammer. Some that just had the gun but in every instances the hammer is there so is the gun.

As for me not knowing any more before I saw the movie..well it appears I did. Given I knew he had both and you seem to not. It was in the LEGO sets. On the glass cups. In the very first leaked promo art and most of it in between.

There's others but I think that's enough to make the point.

wow.. now that's what i'm talking about. if this figure isn't able to do this stuff, it'll be a real damn shame. this is the kind of stuff that i absolutely love about these armors. these are the kinds of things i wish there were more of. these are the kinds of things that take a really cool looking figure into the realm of great. and these are the kinds of things that make the price point more than justifiable.

if hot toys has included, or plans on including these features this figure will be without a doubt the best war machine yet. no flip flopping between this and the mark 1, nope, it'd be this one hands down no question for me.

my fingers are now crossed that this happens (though i really think it's unlikely which sucks)

Yeah thats the pics from the commercial. It looks awesome when he has all that weaponry. I really think Hot Toys will have these included. If you look at the figure itself it looks like it would be pretty easy to have the chest missile pods. The lower forearm one might be a little more difficult.
Hot Toys came through for us when they included the proper missile forearm rockets for the Mk 43 1/4 scale. One can hope.

Looks like a shoulder mounted laser cannon to me in these picts, so it's purpose and workings seemed confusing at best.
No minigun seems to be observable in three of the picts.

oh yes.. now i'm really hoping. i really hate that you mentioned this lol. now i feel like if this stuff isn't included, that i'll always look at it and think 'oh what could've been' lol. i mean, i'll still love the figure because it looks awesome. but i'll always imagine how much more awesome it could've been.

i just really don't think they're going to include any of that stuff. i feel that if they were, why wouldn't it have been shown off yet? i mean, maybe if it was like one thing that was missing.. then i could see them adding it or something. but it's the chest openings, the pop up shoulder missiles, the pop up arm guns (which are there, but we haven't seen them have the ability to be popped out), the pop out under forearm guns.. i just think that that's too much for them to add.

From those pics it looks like the baton stows away on the back of the free shoulder, so probably doesn't have an alternate function as a second shoulder cannon (though one could hope), but still looks pretty cool when stored. Honestly if HT adds the extra weapons and allows the baton to be put away like that, I would jump off the PO fence.

HT obviously based their baton on the concept art
Yep. The figure isn't releasing for a while so I have some hope they'll include his proper arsenal the same way they did with the 1/4 Mark 43. Will probably pass on this figure if they don't change anything.

if there aren't any changes, i'm still going to pick it up. but yeah, i REALLY hope there are some changes made. we've seen changes before, but i don't recall seeing the amount of changes that would need to occur in this instance. they certainly have a decent amount of time. hell, if it had to be delayed another two quarters.. or even 3 to include the proper weaponry, i'd happily wait.
