I know its easy to crap on them, but they have really come through.

Wow, he now looks great with all the changes! I still like the original better, but this is a huge improvement over what we saw with the MK2 in AOU. A proper War Machine. Glad for those wanting this that HT made the changes to reflect his arsenal from the movie. So much for those who felt it would never happen, and congrats to those that held out hope it would. It's nice to be surprised.

There's gotta be some reason for the lack of red LEDs. I don't know if it's some cultural thing or what. But there's some reason why they don't use them.

Haven't they used red LEDs in other figures though? I thought Ant-Man's mask and the infected helmet from the 43 had them

Yeah they used it on a few pieces, you are correct. But for some reason the war machine figures have not used it and it was clearly used on screen. I don't think (I know they have been told about it, I told Howard about it myself in person) it's just that they forgot. So there has to be a specific reason for it. What that is I have no idea.

Are the lights actually red or are they just outlined in red like the Iron Man 3 war machine? that last picture posted kinda looks like the latter.

Now this just intensifies my dilemma of which single War Machine figure I want. Sadly all three are in contention. The Mark 2 because that's the one I actually have in hand and the easiest choice would be just to live with that one. But, I prefer a bulkier version so if I didn't already have the Mark 2 I would pick between the Mark 1 or Mark 3.
