Headsculpt likeness is quite off, however shrouded somewhat in his hood, and not in prime focus, i still feel he's a great compliment to the rest of the shelf.

I wired the bottom hem of the cloak and arms to create a more dynamic pose with the cloth.

I still can't believe how badly they botched this HS. Especially being their FOURTH sculpt of him. Granted, the previous sculpts were older versions of him. But still, they all looked better than this. I really wanted this guy on the shelf but I couldn't justify the cash after seeing this

I feel like they were going for this expression but missed the mark completely lol

There’s missing the mark. And then there’s whatever the thing on the right is. Like I said, this project was given to an unpaid intern and he/she only used the picture on the left as reference and refused to look at any other angles. Oh and was probably blind in one eye.

you made the right choice man. Be proud you didn’t spend $300 on something that would’ve put you in a bad mood every time you looked at it.

I have to say this is really disappointing. I would have rather them push back the figure for longer and correct the head sculpt than give us this one. I will still pick it up and use it for a clone wars version but I really wanted him as PT.

You know it’s bad when even @Jedha Patrol says it’s terrible.

It's so bad I just couldn't. Not when I'm looking and thinking "who the F- is that?"

This would've benefited so much from the moveable eyes... Wouldn't have completely saved it but would've helped. I might decide to do the @chrisstbh side hustle and shuffle him straight to eBay :)

Got my Mace Windu in from TBA.I really like his Jedi robe which I think add a lot to the overall figure. While not the best head sculpt I do think it looks a lot better in person. I’m really happy to finally have him in the collection!

Surprised that mine has shipped from KGHobby already. That might be the fastest they’ve ever gotten stock of a HT.

He’s coming along with two Super Battle Droids but, unfortunately, I opted for the 60 day slow boat shipping when I PO’d to save on costs- so I still won’t fee the benefit of them getting Mace in earlier than usual.

Not sure if I’ll get the DST sculpt when that’s available as I really struggle to find time for painting- but looking forward to see the finished version.

Toy Anxiety, and the other 1/6 part shops are also not parting these figs out.

[...]

Are we facing a drought of loose HT parts? Why?

Thx.
Not sure if you know this or not, but Toy Anxiety and most other US retailers get their stock from Sideshow. So, if Sideshow hasn't started shipping them out, then those other retailers, including part out sites like Toy Anxiety and MonkeyDepot, won't have the figure yet either. Toy Anxiety will get this and CW Kenobi. You just need to be patient.
