I’m not sure if I like it better, but at the end of the day, it’s the only 1/6 ROTJ Vader that at least looks this good we’re going to have for awhile. Otherwise, we’re stuck with either of the Sideshow offerings. Fingers crossed they fix some of the issues on release but I’m not holding my breath

The days of fixes are long gone, but like you said... it's the best one there will be for the foreseeable future.

With AI coming to kill us all, we have a very short window to enjoy all this. So throw caution to the wind and live like kings.

Yea I really doubt they do any fixing. I think the last “fix” we got was the Tom Holland Spiderman sculpt that didn’t even really need improving.

I still think I might pick up an extra chest armor from the recent Sideshow release as I think it looks a bit more accurate than the HT.

What makes the SS armor superior? Is there a side-by-side pic posted somewhere?
Well, if the chest armor on the HT ROTJ is the same as the ESB, it's not whole all the way around - meaning there's an open gap at the back to where the chest armor just sort of sits on the shoulders but doesn't close around the neck. I think that's actually accurate to ESB, not sure about ROTJ. Not a big deal to me but it does seam odd. The Sideshow one closes all the way around.

But, what bothers me more (and I fully understand it's a small detail), is that the hook for the cape chain is actually sculpted to the chain on the HT figures and not an actual hook fixed to the chest armor. So, the cape just loosely moves around instead of staying in place like the hook is supposed to function. They did it for the 1/4 but not the 1/6. I like that the Sideshow one made it more accurate in that regard.

They worked on the Kenobi Series Obi-Wan portrait.

The only HT Vader ive been happy with is the Kenobi Vader, which I hate the source material its from, so I could care less if its accurate or not. Works better this way.

Thanks for that. It does seem like plenty of scenes have that chain hooked there. I don't know my ROTJ like I do ESB and ANH.
Np :duff I honestly wouldn't know the differences had I not worked on the Sideshow figure as much as I did. And I only know ANH's details now thanks to the YouTube video tutorials from JazzInc I think it was. Ignorance was bliss before then b/c all I knew at the time was ANH has the inner robe over the armor and the other two are under the armor

I'll be curious to see how that turns out once in hand. I had planned to get that one but decided to go with nostalgia and instead get the ROTJ with Shaw head.

I figured, once I had the OWK Vader for a bit, I'd soon be itching to get the ROTJ one... but I don't think I'll feel that the other way around if I just get ROTJ. Only time will tell.

Haha I think I’m still mostly in the “ignorance is bliss” phase :lol I’m sure I can spot some differences, but if you were to present me with photos of all the Vader suits side-by-side right now, my response would be:

Same here. As a Fett enthusiast and builder of 8 (and counting) different life size Boba Fett's, I can tell you most every minute detail between the Fett costumes but could only "maybe" tell you whether a picture was ANH, ROTS or another. There's enough distinction between those two suits for me that I can tell but otherwise would probably not pass the test.

“Ahh, you think ignorance is your ally. I was born in it. Molded by it. I didn’t see the truth until I was already a man and by then it was nothing to me but BLINDING!”

Is there any changes at all from the ESB helmet? Not even the glossier glossy glossiness made glossier? I guess the proto is viewable at Second base by now
