Okay, so big question...between this one and the Empire version from a couple years ago, which do people like better...I can only keep one...Thanks
You could also just try to get a loose ROTJ helmet for your ESB figure - that's what I did for my ESB Vader (pics below.) It's a nice - not perfect - upgrade. It looks better from lower angles (closer shot below) than from slightly higher (wider shot.)

To me there's not much else in the ROTJ set that's better than the ESB, though the DS II platform display has more accuracy and proper scale than HT usually delivers, and the new gloves are nice. The lightning helmet I plan to use, though not sure it works 100% because the upper chest and arms should also have lightning/be slightly transparent.

If this ROTJ set had a real leather (or even nylon) bodysuit it would have made it a must-have but instead it's yet another 5-7 year countdown of the lifespan of HT pleather.

Yea that's the thing...I have the Empire Vader and it's nice and I certainly love the movie more...I'm just wondering if it was worth trying to sell him and get this one.

Is the peg configuration in this figure's head the same of previous figures? Like can I place this RotJ helmet on a ANH or Rogue One body? ( I could check myself but I don't feel like pulling out the head and breaking a tusk or something)

I did consider buying the RotJ helmet only on ebay but it was about 300$(canadian dollars) but the whole figure cost me 500$(canadian dollars) tax included and no shipping cost. So it was like getting the full body with fresh pleather for 200$ extra .

Also I ordered a small bottle of 303 Aerospace protectant which I read in this forum could prevent the pleather from deteriorating ? Does anyone have experience with this product or know if it works for sure?

I changed the crotch grabber metal part on the stand to one that grabs around the waist (over the inner robes) from another figure I had. Less risk of damaging the pleather at the crotch.

Tossed him on a shelf without messing with yet. No idea what pose to go with. I have another leather suit that I might put on him eventually like the OG next to him, but like the empire version, it's a beach to relocate the chest box. I put a RO robe on the OG vader because I hated the one it came with. Not as accurate, but looks 100x better

Where could I find a leather suit for mine?

It was 2ouble 8ight on instagram. They're in korea I think. Really fast delivery. The suits aren't perfect in that they can be stiff and tricky to get over the body due to the thicker material, but I'm pretty happy with them. Might try and really hitting them with a lot of leather conditioner to see if they loosen up a bit

The pleather degradation on my 7 year old Rogue One is worse than I thought in the sense that just manipulating the figure causes it to peel. I'll test out 303 Aerospace protectant on it tomorrow to see if I can then apply it to the RotJ.

These figures are expensive and supposed to be premium and Hot Toys knows pleather degrades over time so why are they still using this material ? Their other figures don't have pleather with this self destruct timer built into them ,like I'm not worried the suit on Boba Fett will crumble to pieces in 5 years. Why just Vaders have this fatal flaw?

Yeah, all pleather is a ticking time bomb, unfortunately. It's odd that they did a nylon suit for the battle damaged vader. Probably saving it for an eventual super deluxe version...

None of my Vader's have begun to peel yet. I think applying the 303 protectant is the reason for their longevity. But you've got to apply it before they peel. I once applied 303 to an already peeling terminator jacket and it made it worse.
