Nope. Last time i ordered Aragorn there it arived in like 4days without taxes. For this reason i cancelled the order through sideshow. I might over pay for like €30 if sideshow taxes this thing at €100 but it might be even higher. I remeber i paid €97 taxes for the batman deluxe through sideshow. So this might be even the cheaper option. Just ridiculous honestly. Anyway to get Jack next week already is pretty cool to

The initial blogger photos really didn't do the smiling sculpt justice, it looks great in pretty much every in-hand photo or video, especially in these shots from a new Reddit post.

Grabbed a spare Hot Toys AWE hat off of Ebay. Hope I can get it to fit even I have to heat and dremel it down a bit.

It should fit. I did the same with my custom that uses the DX15 headpiece and it works fine. The medicom hat is very tight though. Ultimate Unison hat works well too. Only hat I don’t have to 100% verify is the DX06 hat

So I take it the AWE hat is the best one then?

This is the Medicom RAH on the DX15 hairpiece. I heated the hat with a hair dryer and the popped it on while it was soft to get it to conform to the HT head.

That looks impressive @MaulFan pretty impressed, always enjoy seeing your work on Jack.

The new hat in alot of pics looks weird like it's been pushed so hard down it's flat, yet blogger pics it isn't as flat.

Example hopefully just people pushing down too much.

I don't think people are pushing it down, I think Hot Toys made it even bigger than the DX15 hat so it would fit with the Artisan hairpiece and in doing so they've created probably the worst out of all the Jack hats they've done, it will likely look even worse on the regular and deluxe versions. They should've just sculpted it in my opinion.

HT should have given up after DX06 on trying to make a hat out of material instead of sculpted plastic, you would think they would see that customers would rather a hat that actually looks like Jack's hat rather than the novelty of being made of "fabric".

That hat looks very nice but my eyes were immediately drawn to the jar of dirt, I want one!

Made it myself, looked around for a long time for glass jars about the right size, made the cover out of foam, and the pride and joy of it is that the sand is actual sand from the caribbean that I brough back from my honeymoon.

Thanks, I'm definitely looking out for a few parts from the latest Jack to upgrade and add to my custom.

Frustrating that we are having to buy parts to improve something that shouldn't need improving. The new hat looks ridiculous!

Nuts that for a sword and hat I'm looking at £110 posted, might be easier to buy the DX15 and part out the bits I don't need!

Weird they made the sword plastic or non metal but still kept the same handle guard. That can explain why the blade looks more worn metal then the clean DX15 and Dx06 swords.

A member here was selling Jack Sparrow accessory kits a number of years ago, jar of dirt was among the items, I know there was a rum bottle, I think an East India Trading Company crate as well . Mine is around here somewhere
